Thank you for telling me that, I can’t believe I just found that out!!!
Thank you
but I am not sure if she’s flirting with me lol I guess I have so many things to learn…
Some allergies and occupations prevent the wearing of a ring, though.
Don’t ask her out by text – show some spine and ask her in person or at least by voice, on the phone.
Girls really hate being asked out via text. So this info is good.
Don’t bother asking her whether she has a bf or is married. Why does it matter? If she’s attracted to you, she won’t mention him.
As for the text messaging to ask a girl out. 90% of my dates are setup through text. If a girl is attracted to you, she will go out with you whether you text or call her.
Unless I’m already dating you, a text just won’t cut it. If you can’t make the effort and get it together to ask me out in person, or at least by phone, fuggedaboutit…AND you have to plan the date and pay for it too. ![]()

Wow, you’re a bit too cynical and or egotistical. Not all of the female persuasion are lust incarnate. And as for a FIRST date, never ASK by text. I’d NEVER say yes to a text-request for a date. It’s a different thing when “dating” (like exclusively) to confirm/discuss plans for the date, but actual communication (not just logistics) should move away from text forms.
In the vernacular of another culture (
) that’s just piss poor manners. If you can’t make the effort to ask in person, how the hell are your skills and social standing going to improve?
I also don’t like text conversations when there’s no need. If you’re in a boring lecture or meeting and you’re not disturbing anyone - fine. It’s on you. But conversations that could be over in ten minutes? No. Not from either gender. Just fucking annoying.
I guess “dating” was the wrong word for me to use. My mistake. What I meant to say was when I want to meet up with a girl, I do it mostly by text to set it up and do I call to confirm it. I prefer to meet and talk in person rather than text/phone conversations. That’s the way I do it and it works for me. Everyone has their own way of communicating.
wow… I know this would sound silly to many of you, but I am glad I posted this thread because I’ve learned so many things about how to ask a girl out on a date and different perspectives from both genders. I actually never have been out on a date with a girl I wanted to date. I’ve gone out on dates with girls who wanted to date me.
I have some deep scars from rejections(I guess who doesn’t) which I am traumatized from. I know that I need to man up and not afraid of rejections.
My skin is getting thicker
and hopefully I will no longer care about getting rejected in near future.
I am still taking it slow on this one though. I’ve been making her laugh and trying to figure out what she likes to do.
I will keep you all updated everytime I take a step forward!!
I only speak for myself: No, no silliness implied, seen, seemed or any other perceptional verb. Dating and people in general are hard - most often tricky and very very fickle - in terms of acceptable etiquette. I’m just glad you asked the question and got a bunch of answers - that way you get to choose how you want to approach the situation. Glad you found something that will help.
Btw, it’s not about not caring about rejection; it’s about not letting it affect you beyond the moment. Everyone cares about being rejected - just don’t let it hurt you for the long run.
It’s been a long time. I finally asked her name after briefly talking about small stuffs.
I am so happy to finally know her name, and that she knows my name now.
But on the other hand I am a little bit sad…cuz I think I jibber jabbered while we were talking
ughh…
I am thinking about wearing some mones next time I see her.
Maybe A314+IH combo??
sometimes the way she talk to me makes me feel like I am very young compared to her.
she seems about 23~25years old, and I am about to turn 22 in a few months.
Think of it This Way… EVERY Guy gets Rejected at Some Point… Sure it Smarts Abit, but You Learn and you Move On… Even Friends of Mine that Seem to Have Women Falling All Over them Constantly Have Been Rejected… Such is Life… The Good guy Doesn’t Always Win, but That’s No Reason to Give Up… Keep at It… Abit of Confidence and a Dash of Courage Will take You a Long Way Toward Your Goal…
Everyone gets rejected. If this happens to you, (s)he is not right for you at that time, whether what you’re projecting is not what that person is looking for, or that person realizes they don’t have what they think you want/need.
Some of my favorite guys have been the most (nicely) persistent. Not creepy, not pushy, not asking to “see the twins,” or telling me “what * really want is one night with [his] 11 inches.” (I told him he had his ruler the wrong way around.)
The guys that managed to project that they’d like to spend time together and be true friends as well as leaving me no doubt that they wanted more in a gentlemanly expressed desire, they’ve been most successful.
