Do what my mom did – talk about sex to me while I was in the womb and as a non-speaking infant (practice for her), then abbreviated talks when I started speaking every few months, getting (very slowly) more detailed over the years. She was never embarrassed, and could address things openly. Plus, she always said we could talk about anything. (I could even call her names and swear at her for 5 minutes. She laughed and we talked.)
Start all this before the kid talks, and the parent is practiced and smooth.
