Ouch - sorry to hear that - hope you are doing better.
after 3 weeks i have to say i am starting too feel better.
time to start some serious phero testing again ![]()
Bloody hell, Idle, you’ve scared me now! I hope you’re fully recovered :#)
As a matter of fact, I just started using Perspire X a few weeks ago - you roll on a small amount before bed every other night, then wash it off when you shower in the morning. It’s been working like a charm for me so far, but your story is making me think twice - do you mind telling us what brand you were using, and what the active ingredient was that caused the problem? Thanks!
I used this kind of products for a long time..
but it just happened…
i think it is aluminum zirconium.. but not sure.. i trow away all the antiperspirants.. i will have a look and post again
Oh man, I’m just getting to this, but I am glad to hear you are doing better! That just sounds way too painful, sounds like they had you drugged up real nice though! ![]()
I’ve heard things about aluminum before, not like this, but still dangerous things. I have tried some deo only products and always get a horrible burning rash after I use them. They smelled amazing, but I just couldn’t wear them (from LUSH if anyone is interested)
I just read this.. hope you are ok now, idle.
I used an antiperspirant a few weeks ago and it stained my shirt.
I think I will start throwing my antiperspirants away, anyway I don’t use them usually.
Buddy, you have my complete sympathy. It was 10+ years ago I had a blocked sweat gland at one of the hairs along the edge of my nipple. (Which had been getting a regular workout at the time.) JEEZUS! Did that hurt! But, I am an Aggie and a he-man. I toughed it out so that by the time they opened me up, I was shocky and delerious. Hurt worse than any broken bone I’ve had. It had broken open and was out in the blood stream. I hope you were not so foolish as to wait that long.
My stick is gone as of now. Anyone who doesn’t enjoy my fresh musky scent is welcome to take a few steps back.
I haven’t seen a deoderant crystal/rock for a few years. Any body know where to get one?
And while we’re on the subject, does anybody know of an unscented soap that removes all oders. So that I can effectively start with a clean pallet, a blank slate?
A few years ago I had a little squeeze bottle of soap in my tackle box. Wash with 3 or 4 drops removed the smell of fish, stinkbait, ahything. Gone completely. I can not remember the active ingrediant. It was not just soap. Anybody seen this?
PS I’m still looking for an unscented, unflavored, edible sexlube.
Hey idle, are you all healed up now? ![]()
so could anti-perspirant deodorants solids cause this problem too? or are you just talking about sprays and if the solids cause this too what do you use instead?
WOW .. Thats messed up…hope you recover
Im starting to thing i may never use anti perspirent again.![]()
seriously thought thanks for posting , recover fast
I had the same issue, I went to the local ER and they almost killed me. After a half hour from opening my left arm pit they injected me with a huge syringe of something and said “OK you can go” I left to go home and I was slurring and dizzy, My old man gave me some milk to kick out what ever they gave me and gave the ER hell.
interesting coincidence to see this thread now. i just posted in the mens forum that i wouldn’t use anti perspirants if you paid me.
OP i’m glad you’re ok, i really just can’t believe people are still buying anti-perspirants. these things are toxic man.
I stopped wearing antiperspirants for a similar reason over 10 years ago.
I used to use them religiously. And then one day I started to notice a sore spot in my armpit on the left side. I examined with my fingertips and found a hard nodule-like object fairly deep in the tissue. Well, it hurt like hell after a few days, and I started developing the same pain in my right armpit! I felt a similar lump there as well.
I headed to the doctor I used to go to, and older Asian gentleman and he told me to stop using antiperspirants alltogether. He said he had seen my condition a number of times before and attributed it to the titanium, and aluminium components of the sticks. He went on to say that sweating is a natural function of the body and that inhibiting it can cause trouble.
I went and found some non aluminum/titanium deodorant and have never had the problem again except for one time a few years ago when I tried my ex-girlfriend’s stuff in her bathroom, as I was staying overnight there so often. And I’ll be damned if i didn’t develop the same thing after a few weeks! As soon as i stopped using it, it vanished…
I will NEVER use that stuff again.
