Most of you know that i am a scent freak.
So i use allot of Perfumes with the pheromones.
And for the armpits i use Antiperspirant Deodorants and dry Sticks..
Sometimes BOTH. Apply a layer of the dry stick then spray it with Antiperspirant Deodorant.
I have been using this since 16 years old
Suddenly out of nowhere i started feeling pain under my armpits.
There was s huge red swelling there.
In 2 days the pain was unbelievable and i had to go to the hospital.
They took me for surgery. Not just cut the upper skin.. but really deep in.
i was 5 days at the hospital under surveillance and on heavy pain-relief and antibiotics.
After 5 days i went in to a smaller surgery at the same spot.
Now this is all thanx to the Antiperspirant.
The Antiperspirant closes your sweat gland and when the Antiperspirant wears of the opens again.
But this time the sweat gland stayed closed. So the sweat had no place to go. It affected the sebaceous gland and it started building matter deep under the armpit.
If i was 2 days later things would got really worse.
This closed sweat gland and the matter(pus) started spreading in the blood.
Finally after 2 surgeries (the second was a small one with just a spot anaesthetic) and allot of antibiotics (to reduce the blood poisoning) i am feeling ok.
I have talked to the doctor and they say every couple of days there is a person with this kind of problem. Closed sweat gland due to Antiperspirants.
If this thing is left without treating it could get really ugly..
blood poisoning and you are out…
Sorry to hear about what happened to you there idle. I wish that you will recover quick & thanks for the warning about using Antiperspirant Deodorants & sticks Take care
It might have been an allergic reaction, too. Perhaps the area swelled and the sweat gland could not open. I cannot use alcohol based deodorants. They make me itch like crazy, not even washing it does any good. Now days I use propylene glycol deodorants, or I use alum crystal sticks.
Talk to your doctor first before you try anything though.
Hey Idle, sorry to hear about the pain you had to suffer and the sugeries required, but thanks for sharing this information, as I think it’s of benefit to everybody here.
Omg, poor you. Sorry to hear about that. I never knew something like this would happen from a harmless looking antiperspirant deodorant! Learned something new today.
Hope it heals soon. reps for putting up pictures (very brave of you!)
Oh, you gotta love aluminum zirconium. Not only does it close up sweat glands, but it can also clog up hair follicles, and cause an infection that way.
I’m kinda suprised they did the surgery while there was still an infection there.
Did they stitch you up? Or they letting you heal from the inside out?
I’ve been there w/ the same type of thing, just not in my armpit…that can’t be fun.
When I had mine, the doctor told me they get about 4 a day in the walk in clinic i went to…that doesn’t include the TONS everywhere else@_@
Hey Idle, hope you are doing better now! Let us know when you fully recover I never use antiperspirant, since the idea of blocking ur pores scares me, and i dont sweat excessively unless working out or doing sports, which is both acceptable in these cases anyways. So try to stick with deodorant everyone, much less complication
Any recent pheromone success btw idle, you have been missing for quiet a while!?
Ouch. That does it. I’m switching to deodorant stones now. I’ve experienced some irritation after using a new brand of anti-perspirant recently and it’s going in the bin. It has “aluminium” in the list on the back.
Anything else by the bed with aluminium in its makeup will be binned too.
That’s painful, Idle. Speedy recovery, and thanks for the warning.
Those crystal sticks actually have aluminum. Sodium and potassium aluminum sulfate. They do not block pores, though, they are only antibacterial. They are also mildly styptic.
** Funny though This is the 1st time I’ve heard of Something Like This, ****Scary Thought **
same thing here…i use allot of antiperspirant.. dry sticks/deodorants even at WINTER..
BUT .. it happened… and when i ask around i see that i am not the only one.
Today i went out for the first time from 2-3 weeks.
And i am absolute sure that A314 + P74 + TAC is really strong combination.
(more to come from this test in my journal)
Thanx to everyone for the good words.
A couple of days and i will be like new
I manage to test my new package on the nurse and the doctor(surgeon)..
and yep.. both females… but both over 45 i think lol…
it was fun testing… i got extra care on every check up.
I will write this down at the MENs forum
