The Lorenzo Von Matterhorn .....sorta

First for those that don’t know what the Lorenzo Von Matterhorn is…watch this before reading any further.

Ok now, I’m not suggesting making up a fake name, or building fake websites about a fake life or anything like that but the clip is accurate in as much as that if you manage to spark attraction. At some point, maybe not right then and there but perhaps later that night…maybe when she’s home alone or hanging with her girlfriends a good number of women WILL google you. I work with 20 women and with the exception of the single ones they’ve all done it to find info on some guy they’re possibly interested in.
So…do it, google your own name do seperate searches for nicknames you may use irl and on blogs or whatnot. If some hits come up, try to look at them through the eyes of a woman you just met. Are they conveying attractive traits? Are they things that make you seem interesting or fun? Or are there any things that might be embarrassing or unattractive? A whiney bitch sounding facebook update, a blog entry about feeling pathetic and lonely etc. Delete that shit right quick, clean up your online footprint same as you would make sure you were clean shaven and wearing clean clothes before going out.

OK Now what DO you want to do? Well the fact is having an online footprint can wind up doing a good amount of work for you. In terms of effect it’s almost like a comfort building technique that works when you’re not near the girl. Attraction is already there or she wouldn’t have bothered looking you up.
Facebook and Myspace. These you can probably give to the girl during the introduction/attraction stage, if not then you should have your real name as your screen name so that it comes up on google when she inevitably searches you. Now as for what should be on there, the girl searching you is probably not going to read every last detail about the 500 bands you have in your like or the 100 greatest movies on your list of faves…5-7 likes in each category is appropriate. Leave political and religious stuff blank unless these are important issues to you. Some people don’t want to bother starting something with someone who’s worldview is drastically different from their own and in many ways that’s smart…but it could also limit your pool that you can choose from.
Have lots of pics of you in fun and social situations. If you have a picture where you’re pointing the camera at yourself or at the bathroom mirror…lose it, it screams “I can’t even find a real life friend to hold the damn cameraphone”. Give the pics captions that help make the pics into attraction spikes. A pic with you and a nameless guy is just that, throw in “Me and my younger brother hanging out, I’d do anything for that kid” and now it’s a protector of loved ones attraction switch. Likewise consider the attraction switches when filling out “about me” info or making blog entries/facebook notes

Ok so now that FB and Myspace basics are covered. What else would you want her to see about you when she’s cyber stalking you after meeting you? There are tons of forums and social networking sites based of specialized interests that you could arrange to pop up when she searches you. Just keep in mind this only works if you use your real name or the same name you gave her so make sure the sites are not only sites that convey traits about you and your life that are interesting or attractive but sites you’re comfortable using your real name on.

If you work out and you want her to know it without sounding like you’re bragging, Bodybuilding.com has a “bodyspace” social network where you can post a profile including fitness oriented goals and accomplishments.
Think of things about your life that would be interesting, then find either a forum or social network based on it. You can use Google for this, just type (your interest)+ forums or social network.

So now you intro, build attraction, show attraction, number close, give up your myspace/facebook info and then leave with some potential. Now she has time later to look up your name and see.
A youtube video of you practicing a musical instrument or performing a song in front of people. (Rockstar fantasy)
A page where you’re recruiting teammates and/or sponsors for a cross country event you’re running to raise money for charity. (Leadership and awww nice guy factor)
A blog entry where you talk about how important financial security is and how you’ve been following a budget as well as your future career ambitions and your plans to achieve them. (smart and sensible, good ltr potential)
A facebook wall with several friends of yours leaving comments about how much fun last weekend was and asking what you have planned for the coming weekend as though your plans will influence theirs. (fun and leader of their social circle)
A review on a wine connoisseur site of several wines you tasted during your last winery tour (sophisticated)
Flickr pics of your skydiving or white water rafting trip (fun, exciting and daring.
Profiles on a bodybuilding or MMA social networking site(macho factor) etc etc etc.

An easy way to convey the qualities you want to convey without the boring job interview questions (so what are your hobbies?) Or sounding like you’re bragging (well you know…I work out and have a black belt) the info wasn’t volunteered and as far as she knows, you don’t know she’s looking you up. This is gold for dealing with morning after flaking. See for a lot of guys building attraction is actually pretty easy, you get started talking and you’re having fun. You’re at the club, the music is loud, the lights are flashing, drinks flow like it’s tax deductible and her buying temperature goes through the roof. So you wind up scoring a makeout session and a number exchange but no further than that. But the girl doesn’t return your calls. Well that’s because she’s not in the same headspace she was when your tongue was down her throat. Now she’s back to the mundane real world and doesn’t want to feel like the slut that makes out with any old guy. You built attraction, but not value. However now, when you call and she sees your name on her caller ID, she won’t answer, but will google your name (its truly scary how many do this) and see all these interesting tidbits about you and your life that humility kept you from talking about the night before and you are no longer…“that cute guy I got drunk and made out with at the club” now you’ve become “that awesome guy I met at the club who seems to have real boyfriend potential”

You may now begin discourse.

Very nice. I saw the comment in the other post and planned on googling what you were talking about. Great concept to help DHV yourself Rad

Well working in an office full of women I found out that women googling guys they meet is actually quite common…either that or I managed to find a job working with a slightly psychotic minority.

Unfortunately my online life can have implications to my love life. Therefore I just telegraph what qualities I want girls to know about.

I do not even have A digital foot print that bad rad man?

Meh, I’ve nothing to hide, but this is good advice, I’ll probably do a bit of “Facebook cleaning” soon, I can admit a few things are juvenile.
Then again, **** the internet when it comes to interacting with chicks. If a woman would rather base their opinion of me based on some jokes I had with some buddies or whatever else, rather than how I actually interact with her and other people, I think she needs to get over herself, and I’ll go for the girls that aren’t so ridiculous.

It’s not bad really, it’s far from essential. But I suspect it can be helpful. The key is don’t use the same screen name on sites you’d like to keep secret such as this one most likely as you do on myspace and facebook profiles. In either case recent experiences and feedback from women has led me to believe that having a good digital footprint isn’t essential but can be very helpful.

I think it’s helpful after you number close in a situation when the girl is in a high state, but might have second thoughts about you the next morning when her state is different. It seems a lot of women will look up your name on facebook and many will look it up on google. If you can display attractive traits via various types of web presence, it’s actually a comfort building technique because it lets her look into you, your life and lifestyle at a pace that’s comfortable for her. Unlike you droning on about yourself never knowing if she’s listening or bored and running the risk of sounding like you’re bragging. It’s not bragging if you didn’t volunteer the info and she only got it by digging. So it’s not essential, but it can be very helpful.

Good points, hope I didn’t sound too douchey. I haven’t hit the bar/club scene yet, so I’m talking from the wrong perspective.
I digress

Actually I was responding to Jabez post and I guess you replied before I did, so I wasn’t correcting you…no douchey offense taken lol.

But you’re right, women shouldn’t judge you by an off color joke made on facebook or anything like that and I think for the most part something along those lines would be taken in stride as guys being guys. No a better example would be a friend and former coworker of mine who suffers a chronic case of what David D would call a Vickie Mentality. Basically it seems like he’s always having a bad day, and it’s always Fate/Destiny/The World in general that’s conspiring to make his life unhappy.
Now almost everyone will feel like this now and again, it’s normal although I don’t advise broadcasting it…but even if you did, no harm if it’s once every couple of months. But imagine you’re a girl and you meet this guy, exchange numbers and whatnot and she finds your profile and 90% of your status updates are depressing self pitying drivel. Well she’s first going to think you’re depressing as all hell, and beyond that she’s going to get the sense that you can’t even be an adult and accept personal responsibility for your own failures or shortcomings. This is a guy that could lose his job and the means by which she hopes to feed her children and will sit and sulk bemoaning how the world is against him while she and her children starve. THAT is what you want to avoid.
As for what you actually DO want to show, as I said…the kind of stuff you probably shouldn’t bring up in straight convo for fear of looking like an insecure braggart. Just little things here and there that give her a sense of you and would make her feel that you’re legitimately who you seem to be and present yourself as.
Example, If I was HappyTappin I’d start a youtube acct under my real name and upload a few video’s of myself practicing my bass or even performing with a band in front of an audience. Little things like that…legitimate and real, but not mentioned in conversation and allowed for her to find out on her own. Now she may not even look you up, but if she does having some positive things for her to stumble across can be helpful.

So should I like redo my body space then ? Or Maybe I will upload some videos to you tube of me break dancing or dunking a basketball or something. Rad man dam you got some good ideas.

Dunking a ball is fine, but a simple clip of you playing some 2 on 2 is better for showing not just that you’re athletic but also social.

If you have a body space acct look at from a woman’s perspective, she won’t find it if it doesn’t have your real name so I will add as a disclaimer to only use your name on sites you trust and no address/phone/ID info that might help somebody to steal your identity. In fact its a good idea to Google yourself now anyway and see if there is any info that you want OFF the net. You can contact most sites and have yourself removed.
