So I ordered some mones, some of which I intended to dillute (maybe even to varying amounts to see what works best/is most convenient) and I just realized, I had previously ordered some dilluent (perfumer’s alcohol w/ light neroli, but after looking I now remember that I used all of it way back… :o looks like ill be making another order, hopefully I’ll be using that gc from much’s thread he started in the lounge, and hopefully he’ll win that plasma. Anyways, as I was looking around in the store, I noticed that all the experimones say they are dissolved in alcohol, but time fixed/extended with dipropelyne glycol, their standard oil, and I did notice that in the past when diluting things with the alcohol, it seemed a bit more… Alcohol-y, thinner and with more of that smell, at least till it dried down. Anyways, now I’m thinking about ordering some oil to go with the alcohol, and I’m wondering if anyone knows how much oil to alcohol is in that ratio androtics uses for “time fixing/extending.” Anyone know?
Also, I noticed the option for natural plant musks, and that they are recommended for their superior diffusive qualities and such, but that the smell of course is a bit different because of that. Can anyone tell me how that smells and how it mixes with neroli? It’s either that or the light neroli fragrance so that no matter what the proportion of oil to alcohol is, since both their proportions to the neroli are the same, the proportion of neroli to total will be the same.
Ya… I didnt know either, but I would also like to know for sure if no one knows. That way I can know that I should start trying to find out for myself .
IMO for each pheromone the ratio would be slightly different. TAA needs to be ‘time fixed’ more than lets say NONE.
It is really trial and error. The more oil (DPG) you add the longer the pheromone should stick to your skin, however you may need to use a higher mcg content of the pheromone to obtain the same result as an alcohol spray. In most cases I do not even worry about adding DPG, because I havent seriously noticed a need to.
As far as the plant musks, I have made a couple oil mixes using them, but I have always added my own personal scent to them. So I am not sure what they smell like on thier own. You best bet is to search for Snoopyace’s ICM oil threads. It explains how to make an oil based mix, in which he uses plant musks.
23.8 mcg of pheromones per drop of A314 which is DPG. 10-12 hours to diffuse.
For every 15ml of mix you need about 10,000 mcg of total pheromones.
So lets say you want to make a mix of 10000 mcg worth of pheromones. Let’s say we’re making a 1:1:1:1 Ratio of molecules A, B, C, and D. You would need 2500 mcg of each pheromone to do that. For scientific purposes, let’s say to get 2500 mcg of pheromones you need 1ml of liquid per molecule. You would then have 4ml of pheromones in liquid and 11ml of DPG. mix it together have it drop then put it on your skin. This will give you approximately same dosages as A314.
Thanks, I was actually looking for only slightly time fixing it, but that definitely helps If I want to make a fully oil based mix (other than mones themselves of course)
And andrew, thanks, I might just not worry about it then as far as the normal sprays, but I’ll definitely look that stuff up and I’ll probably get some oil anyways for the sake of mixing and messing.
And seeing as you use your own scent with the oil with plant musks, I guess it’s safe to assume it’s easily covered… Thanks.
Approximately 240 drops in a 15ml Bottle. On the AD website, it says a 15ml bottle of A314 has 10,000 mcg of pheromones at 23.8 per drop, so to exhaust the whole bottle, 10000/23.8=420.17. So if you’re looking for a dose of 15mcg/drop then you would need to do 420.17x15=6302.55 mcg of total pheromones. With the same formula 1:1:1:1 ratio you would need to do 1575.64 mcg per molecule in a 1ml solution. Each spray from a 30ml spray bottle is about .15ml/spray (you’ll prolly use droppers for this to make sure its precise, but for testing sake lets just say it takes 6 sprays to get the 1ml magic number we’re looking for) so for 6 sprays you need 1500/6= you would need 250mcg/spray of a desired molecule. At that concentration, AD sells 300mcg/spray so you’re looking at 403 bucks for one molecule. You take your pipette and you take 1ml from each bottle and transfer it over to your A314 type bottle and there you have your 15mcg/drop. Overall cost of pheromones $1600 bucks. Now you can dilute those contents later with more math but you get the idea.
The thing is flight purely mathematical, if 23.8 mcg lasts 10 hours in an oil based solution. Then you’re looking at 2.38 mcg of pheromones released every hour per drop. If you’re looking at the basic pheromone spray content at 15mcg/spray then you’re getting only 1.5 mcg concentration when the effective dosage is normally 2.5mcg/spray to 3.75mcg/spray for a 4-6 hour effective time frame. I guess you could do a 2:1 ratio so you get a base 3mcg/drop for the pheromones you’re mixing. Replace “Drop” with total liquid content. Essentially you get 1ml worth of liquid then you just have to spread that out over your body. I’m guessing mathematically that’s how it works. I hope someone who does oil mixes can say yes or no if this is correct or not, I’d like to make oil based versions of pheromones later on.
Ya I do, thanks a bunch again! I’m sure I’ll be revisiting this thread. Now one last question for you guys, would you say the concentration needs be adjusted almost exactly based off diffusion time? Say, if you get good effects with 40mcg molecule A which diffused in 6 hrs, and you time fix it to 12 hrs, you should go for 80mcgs as a starting point? Obviously it might not be exact due to the way it curves rather than just drops off when it’s done diffusing.
Thanks for the insight, that sounds right to me, I missed that in my last resonse, damn your a fast typer lol. The only thing is that it would tend to be a curve I would think… Although when one thinks about the causes of it diffusing… Maybe not so much, especially if it’s really slow…
I like the theory aspect of pheromones as much as I like experimenting with them because of my personality I know I will make a mix later in the future once I have a decent grasp of how things work. I would like someone who’s actually made oil based mixes to chime in to see the accuracy of my theory on the diffusion and mcg count
