What to wear when making an apology?

Thanks M&M, Radman513, Steve and ScienceStudent. I very much enjoy the discussion and appreciate the advice. The girl did not come in on Friday so that solved the if-I-should-say-something-on-Friday problem.

To clarify, I have known her for 2 months and we’ve talk a lot at the beginning (an hour to two per day) with me initiate 3/4 the conversations and she the other 1/4 (by popping-up from the divider wall that separates our cubes). After a month we both agree we should cut it down because she needs to work and since she talked with me the most, I would stop initiating so much conversation.

She had told me in the past that she does not like people asking about her schedule (something about a strict dad growing up) (Apparently quite a few women felt the same way). The other problem is if I popped-up from the divider wall but decided I need to cut down on the conversation or realized she is busy and didn’t talk, she thought I am ogling her. (I have been popping-up a lot less before the incident)

I broke the two golden rules on that day but mutual friends all agree that she was very rude returning my gift (specialty cookies she likes) by learning over the divider wall and drop them on my desk instead of returning to me. Completely ignoring me and walk away doesn’t help either consider how a hour before this we were happily talking about why some people should / shouldn’t have kids.

She is actually the 2nd to last person I would expect to behave this way. I started reading “How to win friends and influence people” because she personally recommended the book. (She is also suppose to lend me The Female Brain)

And I still say … DON’T APPOLIGIZE.

She gave back your gift!?!?!?! :open_mouth:

SHE … IS … PISSED … AT … YOU … SOMETHING … TERRIBLE!

Sounds like this is a case for the old BRIGHTEST SMILE of the universe EYE CONTACT ONLY “Good morning!” (that means speak ONLY when she looks at you), and ignore that broom pilot all day, every day, route!

If you’re one of those desperate/needy fellas … I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. Hope you don’t get fired, 'cause no RUDE individual is worth one of your pennies!

I’m going to give you some good advice

MOVE ON, DUDE.

There are so many people in this world - billions - if one isn’t treating you right or you think you aren’t clicking, there are more people. There’s always more people. I’m sure you’re AWESOME and somebody will see that in you.

What to Wear when Making an Apology… Pants… No One can Take an Apology Seriously with your Dick Hanging Down…

Honestly, John has it Right… Sounds to be that She is an Office Friend and That’s It… She Basically Talks to You Because of Proximity… SO She Talks to You, You Start to Initiate Conversations with Her, She Feels Your Getting too Close and She’s Not Interested… The Rude Return of Your Gift was Enough, I’d Forget She was on this Planet… Plenty of Others Out There if You Just Look Around…

Add Touch of TUTH and having make up sex all day long!

Ok, I didn’t realize the cube wall was between your cubicles. The socially accepted norm is that this IS a wall, and we should not have to expect anything coming “through” that imagined barrier. So you probably got on her subconscious nerves long before, with this tendency. (Especially with the “ogling” comment.) I also don’t like people asking about my schedule – this takes my mind off whatever I’m currently contemplating and I have to interrupt my stream of thought. Sometimes, I just don’t know my schedule well enough, particularly when there is a massive project that seems unending or I have an infinite list of errands and chores on top of the normal duties. Next time (next gal), try offering, e.g., “I am going to do [activity] in the [next two weeks]; and would like to go with someone. Care to join me?”

She sounds like a bitch. Or you just got on her nerves. There’s no need to apologize she’ll lose respect for you if you did that. Especially since she is the one being a bitch why would YOU apologize?

Although you did say you started convo’s with her 3/4 of the time. Next time don’t do that, if someone likes you they will chat with ya, if a girl likes ya they will certainly let ya know. And don’t buy girls shit if you’re not sleeping with them! If you buy stuff for the office or her and your mates fine. As they say can’t buy me love.

Sure if you’re in a relationship or dating that’s different but buying gifts for someone you’re just talking to lets the fun out of the chase, it says shes gotcha already! PLUS in an office environment it just makes things awkward. Everyone know in the office that little johnny is buying little kimmie cookies lol If you’re just friends thats enough to piss any girl off.Hope this helps

I bought her cookies because she had offered me tea and cookies in the past so it is like giving her something back. Another part is she had helped me with a foreign language I am studying. She minored in that language.

Well that’s fair then, did you make it clear to her that’s why? she might have taken it the wrong way. Guys usually buy girls stuff in hope of getting in their pants and girls know this lol
