I was just wondering, what would a female like to hear when first approached by a guy? Of course that would make her interested or maybe curious about the guy. Maybe starting with her name? What do you gals think?
Thnx.

“hi, how are you?” works for me.
then introduce yourself.
don’t start with her name unless you’ve already been introduced.
I agree with Nunya. Believe it or not, most girls don’t like it when a guy approaches using a “line”. My 19 yo son never has problems meeting girls and he never uses a line. He just introduces himself and asks how they are. Remember girls like sincerity, not phoniness.
Umm, depending on where you meet the girl, just make a general comment about the surroundings. I enjoy the company of funny guys who are relaxed and confident in themselves. Open friendly tone, smiley eyes signalling ‘I really want to get to know you as a person’.
Of course, it depends on the girl. I’m an Asian and I get frightened easily.
Some of my more liberated friends just follow hot guys who say ‘WANNA FUCK’.
As in david DeAngelo’s books say be cocky and funny don’t go up to some1 and say a random line. Go up to them say “Hi, how are you” and ask on there opnion on somthing a good thing would be your cologne say u wanted a female opinon. If she asks what it is dont give her a direct answer say somthin like " Well… (pause for effect) wouldn’t u like to know now? just maybe ill tell u later on" It makes for anticipation and keeping her guessing all that kinda stuff. Then just lil chit chatter here and there and walk off dont come on as u want i want sex now approach, just ask for her number or even better… email address, this seems more neutral and friendly. This also may make her think “wtf? y come to talk to me and not make a move that seems wierd… maybe he just wants to be friends”. I could tell u more but it would kinda be copyright of his book. Thanks vsii for the book btw ![]()
Oh and the best thing about the “can i get your opinon on my cologne” is she will be a magnet to it that’s of course that u have a good mix on… and will not want u to leave. But leave anyway ( u can get back with her later on ) she will be excited to see u next time. Thats what i think anyway lol
dude that seems to be a very nice and sensitive way.. what u girls think?
Helix has an interesting technique, and if it’s worked for him, it might work for you, so sounds good. Of course, it depends on what kind of girl you want–I’m not someone who’s going to go home with someone I just met (although I never say never) so I wouldn’t find it strange at all if a guy didn’t make a move right away, because those are the guys that get my attention. But that’s a personal thing. If you want a less “relationshippy” girl than I am, that girl might find it strange and you might be able to turn her head that way.
I’d say just whatever you do, listen to YoungAtHeart and don’t Google pick-up lines, for the love of God. It really, really does not work.
i am god
lol infact i havent actually tried that i know ppl who have and it works near all the time. For me i need to still build the courage to do it
oh course thats not all to it u have to keep the act up through the whole thing and different things u can do that is explained in the book. But yes depends on the girl the cocky/funny thing might not allways work as if u become to cocky u will come off ass an asshole and if to funny come off as to goofy so gota find the in between ![]()
The killer line is FRIENDS allways remind her every now and then we will be the best FRIENDS and then give her a lil kisson check/hug/hold hand or somthing itll give mixed emotions as to think she will be thinking “hmm… i dont get this, is he attracted to me what is he doing?” friends, friends, friends… and what laurieny said dont use cheesy lines u may find off the net, just be yourself but in a more fun way and make it seem natural.
God, one of the guys I dated used a line on our first (and last) date. He asked me “did it hurt?” I was a little confused and asked “did what hurt?” and he then said “when you dropped from heaven?” Man, I almost shoved him out of my room and closed the door on him. I hate it when guys try to use pick-up lines.
Ahahahaha thats an awesome line right there… not ![]()
Personally, if a guy tries a pick-up line with me, it signals that he is interested in mass-sperming women with minimal effort.
LOL! That was exactly what I was thinking! I just couldn’t figure out how to word it.
never heard it put that way
come off as a friend vibe dont go all touchy needy feeling and dont say anything that can be insercure that she can take advantage of. Allways be in control. All there is to it ![]()
Helix,
I don’t mean to be a dick or anything but you said u’re workin on ur own confidence and all so I assume you haven’t been approachin too many women. I don’t mean this in a harsh way but let people with experience provide feedback. Certainly those who don’t follow any books, as in natural PUAs perhaps..
I havent said i havent full tried it i jsut havent done the full lot. I’m also speaking from the book also not really me saying it. It seems to work and i have seen it work in cases so i know to some sort of degree
What you subcommunicate through body language and voice tonallity is more important than what words you use. You can open with anything (provided its not creepy or offensive) if your vibe is right. I met my last girlfriend in the street asking “Whos sexier spiderman or superman?”. I have a friend who met his girlfriend saying “I like salad… especially ceasar salad” in a club.
The important rule about opening lines is to change the topic soon while the energy is still there. If you stay on the topic for too long (about 3 minutes is a good guideline) you will stay in the frame of “im giving an opinion to this guy” and when the thread is exausted it will seem forced trying to change the subject.
One more thing is dont stack questions whatsya name, whereya from, waddaya do it sounds like an interogation. Ask one or two questions and using the information to relate or digress into stories or jokes.
when your genuine, usually the first thing that enters your mind will come-off as genuine.
rehearsed is soooooooo easily detectable.
some guy came to the bar and said you are sooo beautiful.
i imediately turned my back to him and said “really? what color are my eyes”
we gals can nip you in the BUD…
hey… the one thing, and the only thing that works consistently for me, is to be genuinely interested in the other person… it seems like the dumbest of the dumb to try and pretend to find someone interesting when you’re patronizing them or tuning them out, as a matter of act it is damn sickening , and anyone with a shred of self respect is going to be somewhere between alienated and royally pissed off if they are made into an object or part of a scoring game… that’s where most of the PUA philosophy crashes and burns before it leaves the runway… how did I learn this ? Well, as a young guy in Manhattan, heterosexual 100%, in the fashion-advertizing-photography world, I was hit on incessantly by gay guys, especially older, “sophisitcated” gay guys… and I have no problem with anyone being gay, this was never the issue, it was being treated like a slab of meat at Balducci’s that was so disgusting… men would start talking out of the blue about how they wanted to “do” me, and I didn’t want to be disrespectful or dehumanize the guy, I just didn’t want to get physical… some men simply would not take no for an answer, nothing like trying to pry a needy octopus off of yourself… whatever, it was a very thorough education in what it must be like to be a beautiful girl/woman who wants some respect, some uncluttered emotional space around her, to actually be heard and not that f*cked up, uh huh uh huh I do so hear you yes I do bullshit… well, whatever… most of my success in this area later in my life came dierctly from having the tables turned on me in my 20s, and knowing at a instinctive level what it feels like to be an object.
That’s entirely unfair, Lor
. I just stared at your chocalate-shirt pic in your profile, and I can’t figure out what colour your eyes are without blowing the image up in Photoshop
.
Mind you, I suppose real-llife has a little better resolution
