Where to go to meet women?

Yeah… I’m clearly taking the long view, a percentage of the folks I know who are in the marriage situation are either divorced or on their second marriage, not all of them by any means, but a decent percentage, and they all say about marriage #1, “what was I thinking” ???,

Indeed, what WERE they thinking, or what was their unconscious mind thinking for them ?

So, on a lifetime of reflection, one CAN be both Yogic and Sexuous, or one can just be hook-uppish, or a lot of places between the two…

De-patterned or de-autopiloted relating doesn’t happen easily, when it does it has this exhilirating, liberating, breathing pure ionized oxygen nature, whoa, dudette, we can put that baggage down… this ain’t no daytime teevee rerun… :open_mouth:

P.S. something tells me this might be a really good idea:

strip clubs

I still think church is good if your looking for someone with similar beliefs

groups more than church though, as here the girls leave church before the last song ends so you can’t manage to even talk to them…

What do you all think about trying to pickup women at the gym? Ladies are you usually open to approaches or do you like to be left alone when working out?

If you like to go to they gym, it could be a good idea I think

Tacitus:

Have you tried of of these CDs by Steve Jones? I know you have a great deal of experience in this field I was just wondering if you had tried any of these in particular.

Thanks.

I bought the two mp3’s myself… I think they are good.

The trick is consistency and frequency, use them every night for at least one months, two months is the reported most common for an effect to stick… and also use a good mind machine, 20 minutes of the Photosonix pre or post CD listening can really help it sink in… the problem for most of us, a worsening problem with the growth of cellular communication, is the mind is in incessant trivial blather mode… so there is the first matter of quieting the mind, then giving the mind more interesting, effective things to do instead of churning out the same old crud… and people wonder why nothing changes, no matter what the “do”… and their brains are like an early generation DVD player with a bad movie, stuck on repeat ?

For real change, the inner movies, inner commentary, life scripting, and so on, has to be remodelled…

BTW… I alternate Glauberman, Jones, and things like Tibetan Chanting… there’s another guy I haven’t tried yet, John Morgan… good voice… has a tempting Self Image CD… and self image is probably the #1 piece to this puzzle…

i havnt tried any of the suggested hypno cd’s but iv tried others in the past, one problem i have is that after the second to third time i hear them (hearing them daily) i start dosing off in the middle of them becouse they are just so god damn boring, they are ok the first time, but repeating the process is just so boring that i fall asleep (and no i dont concously choose to fall asleep, i just wake up later and discover that i had fallen asleep, even if i was really awake and fresh when i started them.
any way to get over that, or is it just keep doing it even if you fall asleep..?

damn, my post got deleted… again… well, ill do a quick sum up instead of write it all,

not tried those, but, iv used hypno cd’s in the past, i can do it first time sometimes second time, but from there on i usually fall a sleep in the middle of the cd
help!

Intriguing… Beyond hypnosis (which I shall of course investigate), any other suggestions on how to become a better story teller? Idries Shah in London was quite big into this at a certain point, but I don’t think he left many students who could fill his shoes.

I have no direct experience of this - preferring other kinds of exercise myself - but I have heard good things about gyms (probably your mileage varies depending upon your local environment). I strongly recommend exploring Pickup 101’s work for day game. (Disclaimer - they invited me back to retake the workshops as a grad student so I am likely biased).

I don’t know, start writing stories, writing and writing and writing until you get good at it?

I wonder if anyone has tried these paraliminal recordings by Paul R Scheele:

About Paraliminals

Not bad… some of them… I bought a handfull for a test drive, and I have 4 on order at the moment, don’t want to overlook a goodie because a couple weren’t so great…

Same idea as Glauberman, not as sophisticated in his use of Ericksonian story…

Like Idries Shah, there never was another Erickson… having done a seminar with his protege, Steven Gilligan… and a lot directly with John Grinder… each got part of the Erickson magic, nobody seems to have gotten to the essential root of his skill…

I believe, and this is fascinating that Shah should come up, that Erickson somehow arrived at an an understanding akin to the Sufi masters, he was doing “secualr sufism”, or both had arrived at the same city by differing roads…

This idea of the Magical Self is compelling, as if the limbic brain, the old mammalian primate base (structurally… thalamus, amygdala, hippocampus and ???) can opearate in sleeping mode, as a background processor for the forebrain… or it could potentially be awakened, and then the “unconscious mind” begins to function as a self-within-the-self that one could have a wide variety or relationships with…

If the monkey-mind is used as an archive of patterns, ranging from minor to full on life scripts… the person with that monkey-mind will appear very “scripted”… perhaps well fit to life pattern, but incapable of going much beyond the pattern without experiencing loss of self anxieties…

On the other hand, if the unconscious mind is properly awakened and allowed to reach its potential as a partner with the conscious mind, it can take on a multitude of archetype personalities (for you Jungian PUAs)… from the Playful Child to the Wise Elder, and turn you on to the best things life has to offer, in the best ways, at the right times, to the right degree (this comes from Aristotle, btw, and restated by Glauberman on each of his tapes, a bit differently), and most important, for the right reasons…

Nice to know you have that backup already waiting for you inside your own head…

As far as getting oneself with another… how well one can go about this, IMHO, has a lot to do with how well one can let go of oneself, in other words, how rigidly or loosely one is attached to ideas of one’s self, and ones comfort in letting the unconscious functions take over and do the driving for a while…

When you’re approacing, dating, doing your thing, there are four parties to the transaction, your conscious mind, her conscious mind, your unconscious mind, her unconscious mind, and how awake or asleep the inner minds are…

People most definitely relate on planes of awareness… the mysterious “clicks” and “anti-clicks” that send those unmistakable, impossible to describe little zings, shudders, hints, signals… because, also IMHO, in the really successful relationships, even in the great sex category, there is enough security, confidence, trust that the unconscious minds become a shared space to some degree, it is a natural process where a mutual self comes into being, maybe briefly, maybe for the rest of ones life…

BTW… about boring… yup… there a window of imprinting between wake and sleep, seems that the stories and suggestions that you hear in that 10-15 minute transition time have the best chance of getting in and doing their thing… sometimes even the dopiest simplest sounding thing can make large improvements if it is the right dopey simple sounding thing… such as all the messages given to you as a child… that became your present day “reality engine”… :open_mouth:

Also, here is a great idea if you want a book that will be of general value AND help a lot with your hook up chops as well:

Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die

“Drawing extensively on psychosocial studies on memory, emotion and motivation, their study is couched in terms of “stickiness”—that is, the art of making ideas unforgettable. They start by relating the gruesome urban legend about a man who succumbs to a barroom flirtation only to wake up in a tub of ice, victim of an organ-harvesting ring. What makes such stories memorable and ensures their spread around the globe? The authors credit six key principles: simplicity, unexpectedness, concreteness, credibility, emotions and stories.”…

ok, ill defenetly check that book out!!!

the cd’s i have spend the first 10-15 minutes getting you into a trance, and first then slowly starts doing its stuff =P its 45 minutes in all… yawn…
