Yelp dot com ?

discovered Yelp.com the other day… like a continuouly updated Zagat of everything urban… complete with nasty, realistic reviews of clubs, restaurants, stores… u name it… and unfiltered shameless shilling too…

I found virtual tourist another time. I saw this restaurant place listed and somebody posted a “review” saying that they have some singles party with good music and wine, held every week.

I went last year (moned up even with some EoW copulins!) and there were only five people, half of them seniors… I waited and waited but nobody came.

This year I went, moned up again, to find the place practically empty except for two old folks…:open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth: So I just left straight away.

Bogosity abounds… so read between the lines… real reviews are more full of telling details and are rarely uniformly positive and upbeat. Any review that is too good to be true, all happy happy is probably a fake shill… go to places that have a minimum of three reviews that have lots of specific information, such as what to order, what not to order, what is the right time to go, how much you should expect to pay…
