Advice on a girl I met through an online dating site

Hi guys,

I would like to ask your opinion on this girl I met through an online site. After corresponding with her a couple of times, she seems really into me. I’m really confused because it’s so fast, and she hasn’t even met me. I sent her a video of me though.

This is the most recent message she sent me:

Hi dearest,

How are you today? Hope you are fine. I hope I am not being forward by calling you my DEAREST , please take me as I am. Am not been shy expressing myself, funny enough you are the last thing that came to my mind before I slept last night and you happened to be the first thing that came to my mind this morning. I love what you wrote, I wonder where you had been all these years I have been looking for a serious minded man who is for real and not here for just games. i can see we have some things in common and sure we won’t have problem with ourselves in future.
As for now am alone also I should say loneliness is an understatement to my own situation. I didn’t know if I’ve told you this before but my parents are late and I am the only child of my parents, I almost lost all I had to my ex boy friend after my parents death, I thank God I wasn’t wrecked and didn’t go bankrupt though. I’m dedicated to myself to remain focused, find the right man for me and settle down with him.I broke up with my ex boyfriend because he wasn’t honest with me. Its a painful thing to know that your partner is cheating on you, am sure you have been in one before and you know how it feels not even when you are together for long, what a scandalous scene that was. Life became unbearable and miserable to me when it happened to me, I couldn’t help myself any longer, I just had to separate myself from him.
I want to let you know that we are not taking this too fast at all. I want you to be free with me and feel free to tell me anything even if you kiss someone else and… kidding though, I am just imagining where you are at the moment and what you are doing right now. I really wish I am around you now or you being around me.I do know a bit about you now because I can’t know all about you in a day, we will know more about each other as day passes by. Definitely we will hold our hands one day which I have a feeling that its soon. I long to meet you in person, to see the person I’ve developed feelings for so soon. I strongly believe in just this and I follow my instincts which says you are the one for me… Its glad to know that you are for real, I am also for real and I am too straight forward. I intend finding a soul mate on here and I thank God we are seeking the same thing with me. Secondly in this relationship I think we are proceeding, taking charge and would be in that level soon because we are both seeking a serious relationship and am sure you are my match, and you?

Hugs and kisses,

I replied her without expressing my interest, is this the right thing to do? I’m confused at the moment.

Ough be careful. Is she fake-checked? Might as well be a message she sends to everyone she exchanged a couple of texts with? Maybe it’s not a she?
If she’s fake checked, I would still be careful. I have like zero experience with online dating, but this chick seems either terribly desperate, or like some psycho clingy girl, or both to me. Maybe she’s real and genuine and you’ll be a great couple, just please doublecheck…

I think holding back your interest a little and make her chase you and seek your approval like that is a good way to spark attraction.

I can’t exactly tell you how to proceed though because I always felt getting to know each other during the first interaction with a genuine real conversation is a key to getting a solid first impression, scanning out the psychos and so on

Hope it goes well for you

Jesus I can hear the Stalker warning bells from here. She already sounds like she is clinging.

You need to slow her down ALOT. Jeez you haven’t even met yet and she is sure your the one. That should tell you something right there.

Not that your not a great guy, I am sure you are but attraction is not just verbal. You have to engage all the senses and you cant do that until you meet a few times.

I would add that a few weeks ago I met a woman web dating.
You’d be surprised to know that I wrote the same thing to you?
I was surprised when I found his phrases in google. on this site.
It’s crazy. Insane. Also told me that I suffered a robbery and beating and needed money for the hospital bill.
I’ll have to be more careful with the people I know in web.
Meanwhile, I’m still looking for my soul mate. Greetings.

The phrase “my dearest” sounds like an expression in Russian, in English words. So this girl could easily be a Russian BRIDE looking for a schmuck to trick into sending her money. Many bride scammers are becoming increasingly good at English, enough for the grammar and sentence structure to sound native-like. BUT… they neglect to find correct the expressions that Americans use, and instead translate the ones in their native language word-for-word. OR… they use overly formal language (for a dating site), devoid of pop culture references, that they picked out of a dictionary and/or a literature book. Another clue is deep, sentimental admissions of love toward you, which sound odd, if not downright creepy, in a first message on a dating site.

The initial post meet all the above criteria. Pull the proverbial emergency brake, and get out before you’re in too deep. Or just waste her time, to test her creativity. Just remember that “Victoria” could really be Viktor, whose only love is dollars (and euros).

sounds like a scam to me. women usually put the onerous on you, and use the dating site to screen men out. generally they use a very sceptical tone.
