Oom, that’s an very interesting point, I was also thinking along those lines mind-games, because nobody wants to go there.

My best bud Jim one night in response to my saying “I don’t like to play mind games” said, “to say you’re not playing mind games is a game.”

That’s what sucks, he’s right…LOL. It’s all one big game everyone is playing. To say I don’t play mind games, is a way of setting value and status in someone else’s mind so therefore is a game.

question number 1 , are you willing to do this even though she has a boyfriend ?
question number 2 ,do you want a girlfriend or just sex ?
for behavior is very boyfriend oriented ,she may have concerns about how serious you are .
i suspect she would break up with her boyfriend for you ,but i don’t think she’d cheat on him with you .

The scary part about it is… Her boyfriend is somewhat of a buddy of mine. Even more of a buddy of my sister’s. She’s a great girl, but… The whole damn situation is messed up. The more I consider it… I don’t want her to cheat. I don’t want her to break up with him. The past few weeks have been the most profound experience I’ve ever had and I was too caught up in it to take a step back and look at the whole picture. It gets even more complicated when you bring her sister into the mix. Her sister and I had the most amazing night the very first time we met. Even though we only had one (magical) night together, we talk everyday and are already making a lot of plans together. She’s willing to move here after she wraps things up where she’s living.

Considering everything… For the sake of everyone involved, it’s better that I leave that other girl well enough alone and establish friendship as the only thing I’m interested in.

The strongest lesson I’m getting out of this whole thing is that most girls will be with someone until something better happens along, and if they can have that then their faithfulness flies out the window. I know it’s all about Survival and Replication, and who would make the best mate, provider and protector but… Damn, it’s becoming the biggest disillusionment of my life. I’m a really faithful person and to see that so many women would drop the one they’re with for me… It’s a shock.

Yes. I’m trying to get rid of that good guy inside, but not if it costs me a friendship and damages how my sister thinks of me. That’s asking for trouble. If this happened with any other girl who’s boyfriend wasn’t a buddy of mine, I would have no qualms about taking her for my own. If her sister hadn’t already caught my interest so profoundly…

I’ve been wondering why all these women want to own me… And make it be known, make it official. Is it a status thing? At first I thought that if I mention I have kids it would hurt my game. But apparently I’m a rare breed of man, a father that has the kids rather than the mother. I thought long and hard about it, and it has to be that I’ve shown I won’t just make some babies and not take care of them. I’m about something.

Yeah the whole status thing is a funny thing. You’ve got all kinds of social proof going for you right now. Girls openly flirting with you at work, you sound like you’re busy and having fun, a lively social life. You’re also working hard and taking care of kids, so apparently a woman found you bad enough for sex, but good enough for the results…so much going on inside a woman’s head.

Listening to this month’s David D Dating Gurus cd the woman he was interviewing actually said something along the lines of, “it’s not fair and I’d hate to be a guy, but every man is getting judged to the nth degree.”
She went on to talk about all the things women are picking up on from body language, to vocal pitch, how you’re breathing etc. It’s not like its all compartmentalized into a check list, it’s just all very natural for them to notice it all and take it in, in a matter of minutes if not seconds.

Lol, actually. My ex broke it off with me because I was too busy with work. It wasn’t that the sex was bad, it was that she wasn’t getting as much as she was used to. She mentioned it to me about a week before breaking it off… How we only got it on maybe once a day (yes, I was shocked to find out that most couples make love on average once or twice a day - my sex drive was more like half a dozen times a day…) It was a decline of sex because of working for a company from 7am in the morning until nine or ten at night, Monday through Saturday and half days on Sundays. She worked nights from ten til 7 so… Work, then sleep. Then work again. For both of us.

Your ex broke it off because she wasn’t into the relationship. And she decided long before 1 week before she said what she did. That woman in your starting post is a flake. Women often send false body language signals just to see if your interested, to give them some power over you and build their ego. Not to steal your post but same think happened to me. There’s a woman that I used to go for coffee with twice per day for 3 years solid. She is singlr (50 years though) and started flirting with me more and more. So I tried to kiss her and paid the price by her ratting me out. Not fired but still embarassing… Bitch!!!

haha I hope you didn’t think I was inferring you were bad at sex. What I meant was you were a bad boy, and you turned her on for sex, but also a good enough guy to have kids with…sorry for the confusion.

LMAO! I see. In that case, all is forgiven. Lol!

Whew, I can be a onery at times. But I would never hit a man below the belt so to speak.

Yep, you ornery lil cuss. Them’s was fighting words. Lol! Nah, it was just the wording - I had to make sense of them. Thanks for clarifying!

I might actually think you had met my most recent ex - When we first got together that is.

And yes, she did have problems. By the time I walked away, I had been through hell and back with her continual cycle of on-off, love you/hate you/best friend behaviour, her complete lack of boundaries and was utterly convinced she is an undiagnosed BPD. There were a whole lot of other factors that led me there too, that did not concern me or our relationship.

Watch-out for yourself with this one mate!

Bro if i where you, i would stay right the F away you, the way i am reading it she thought you was her gay BF no offence bro but,
so now she is embarrassed by you reading her signlas wrong
she was looking for a freind that she cant trust thats all thats it,

so my advise move on leave her be and never i repeat never call her back
all you can do is cause your self more damage

You probably read it wrong then. Women are confused all the time and want attention if they’re not getting it fromt heir significant other. I know girls with best friends that are guys, straight or not, they’re not acting that way towards guys that they’re not interested in.

She isn’t embarrassed by it, let’s get that one thing straight. When someone moves in for a kiss after the experiences he’s detailed then there was probably something there that warranted it. Wolfishgrin doesn’t strike me as the type to get signals wrong, he was in a relationship before and knows how it’s like. He’s not like some 18 yr old kid that can’t interpret signals and body language.

Most likely, she wasn’t prepared to take it that far and she drew the line of how far she wanted to get with him and won’t pass that boundary. For you to tell him she can’t trust him might just influence his actions enough not to pursue a mature relationship with her because he might get that feeling she won’t want to talk to him. It’s partially her fault for doing what she did, and his fault for letting it get this far. Be careful of the advice you give to people without first thinking it out.

You’re right that it’s going to cause him more emotional damage when it comes down to it, and that leave things are as they have been and set her straight that they just have to be friends and that this isn’t what he wants in his life, being an outlet for someone who’s not getting attention. affectin, love or whatever it is from her boyfriend.

The real issue I think that girl has… She is afraid her BF won’t be coming back. He finally got shipped out to the front lines yesterday after a couple months in training. She doesn’t want to wait on a relationship. Two years is a long time to wait on someone you were only seeing for a month. Her BF is a friend of my family, and I’m a great guy in her experience. She sees me as someone really compatible - but she got conflicted there at the last because she is officially still with the other guy (even if they don’t get to date or anything.)

You’ve always got good insight P51, I enjoy your posts and actually consider you as a forum friend. Thanks bro!

Thanks, it would be useless to keep calling her - it would even be detrimental to my emotional and mental health. So distancing myself from her is for the best.

Same here bro.

Interesting… My buddy’s status on Facebook today indicated a change, from “In a Relationship” to “Single” - meaning that his (ex)girlfriend is available. This is the same girl that invited me to watch the meteor shower and all that… I wonder if it was a move on his part, or hers?

Just like my avatar. Go in for the kill lol.
