Colognes you like

I went to the mall today and tried Nautica “Oceans” both at the Nautica store and Macy’s. I like it a lot. It has a very fresh, cool, breezy scent to it, and reminds me of surfing in the ocean. Has anyone else tried this, and if so what are your opinions? Btw, this is the first cologne that uses a water base instead of oil or cologne. I think they use all natural ingredients as well. I also like “L’Homme Cologne for Men” by Yves Saint Larent, Creed Green Irish Tweed, Dolce & Gabbana “The One”, Polo “Double Black”,

Edit: Also “Chrome” by Azzaro smells really nice.

I don’t know if you could call them colognes, but I like Angel by Thierry Mugler (the original women’s version), Sweet Oriental Dream by Montale and once in a while, En Avion by Caron.

I also like Man Magnet, which I don’t know who makes (nobody famous, it was not expensive at all) which is a “solid” perfume in a little round flat tin kind of like what lip balm comes in, and smells cinnamon-spicey (and fits perfectly in my wallet, as I don’t always like to lug a purse around ). To put it on, you just swipe your finger across it, and put it on with your finger.

For colognes on men, I don’t really know because I’m not around men wearing cologne as much as I’d like to be :stuck_out_tongue:

I like British Sterling, in fact, I used to wear it myself sometimes, even though it was really my dad’s. I actually got compliented by men, with that on, they had no idea I was wearing men’s cologne, lol.

Yeah, one of my current favorite fragrances, Guerlain Spiritueus Double Vanille, is actually classified as a woman’s scent. Probably due to the predominating vanilla scent. However, you should never let that throw you off a scent you like, in my opinion. If i enjoy it, then the rest of you lot can get over yourselves. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s why i refuse to buy fragrances from stores that try to tell me “oh, you don’t want that one, it’s for older people” or “that one is too sweet for a guy to wear”. If i want an opinion on what to wear, i’ll ask, but don’t tell me what i like and what i should wear. Sorry for the rant.

I absolutely agree with you!!

Because scents smell different on different people, you can never tell!! With that British Sterling, I got total hits (and that was pre-phero).

Hmm, I should really revisit that, I actually forgot about British Sterling until just a few minutes ago when i was racking my brain trying to think of men’s colognes that I was familiar enough with to comment on.

I completely agree with you man. I believe as long as you like it, it doesn’t matter if it’s “meant” for men, women, or unisex. At the end of the day, its your personal preferences that matter most, not the labels that try to force your way of thinking.

JINX…you owe me a soda.

Hey, wtf!! How do I owe you a soda??!!

You owe me a soda, or more like a bottle of good champagne!!

(your quote) “I absolutely agree with you!!” = “I completely agree with you man” (my quote)

That is close enough for you to owe me a soda and me to call jinx on you…better yet make it a 6 pack

A six-pack of what? You can’t drink, you silly git you. :stuck_out_tongue: Better make it a soda.

A 6 pack of soda silly…but recently I quit soda for health reasons, so just make it some pheromones …btw Sillykitty I’m just teasing you :stuck_out_tongue:

Oooh. See, around here, a 6-pack is nigh exclusively used to refer to beer, so i got a bit confused. But yes, that makes sense.

Lol a 6-pack in Texas, same as most places in the U.S. I figure = 6 pack of beer, but I wanted to keep Sillykitty on her toes :stuck_out_tongue: I meant a 6 pack of soda, but wanted to make her think, so i didn’t specify what kind of 6 pack. Sorry for the confusion.

Darn, and I thought you were talking about a 6-pack abdomen :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, now kids! That could mean anything! A 6 pack of rubbers for example! Heh, heh?

this is currently what I own as full bottles not counting decants:

Bond No.9 Bleecker St.
YSL Body Kouros
D&G By Man
Carlos Santana For Men
Bond No.9 Central Park
Bond No.9 Coney Island
D&G Pour Homme
Gucci Envy
Creed Green Irish Tweed
Creed Himalaya
Creed Silver Mountain Water
Amouage Jubilation XXV
L’Instant de Guerlain pour Homme Eau Extreme
Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin
Musc Ravageur
Opium pour Homme Eau de Parfum
Kenneth Cole Reaction for Men

If you have a 6-pack abdomen, I’ll take you as well. Only rule is that you can’t be more muscular than me overall lol.

Man you have an amazing set of colognes here. LOL, I can’t believe you would actually carry Kenneth Cole Reaction for Men :stuck_out_tongue:. Sorry denec I don’t mean any offense by that. It’s just that I have the exact same cologne, and a guy with your calibur and expertise of colognes, I would least expect to have this cologne.

that is nothing…there are people on basenotes that have 300 bottles, and some who have 600+

truthfully even if i had the money I do not have the room for that many bottles

Kenneth Cole Reaction smells great! I do have one problem with it is longevity, does not say on skin long though

What do you think about the new Hugo Element? I think it smells good from the magazine I smelled it on. :stuck_out_tongue:

Or what about Only the Brave by Diesel? I like it, something about it smells kind of like something you’d smell at a barber shop but I still like it. Maybe somewhat powdery? Good in a weird way.

Nothing wrong with having normal colognes rev, I mean Creed and niche colognes are awesome but it doesn’t mean that you can’t like a $40 cologne either. If you think it smells good that’s all that matters.

truthfully have not got around to smelling it yet…if they are in sephora maybe will stop in this week around lunchtime and check them out
