First experience with ICM 1A oil
Now I’ll say in advance that I went and got all filthy with pheromones as this day progressed. I’m willing to admit that this particular day is not an example of excellent and rigorous research. But I’ll walk through it and try to make it as sensible as I can
I was planning on going to a poetry reading at night, and thought it would be a good time to test out something new. I applied the following behind my ears and along my jawline:
- 1x A314 Sirius Mystery Edition
- About 6 drops of Steve’s ICM 1A oil
This was applied in the afternoon about 3 hours before the reading, as I was first going to the dry cleaner and to Target. I didn’t notice much out of the ordinary at either of these locations, although I can easily chalk that up to it being so cold out that it would take a while for my skin to warm back up and diffuse anything after getting inside.
Actually, now that I think about it, there was a girl working there who pretty much adopted me when I asked her where the kitchen trash cans were, and walked with me there while making smalltalk. She was headed that direction anyway, though, with a big palette of boxes in tow.
Also, there was a group of 4 girls probably 17-18 years old waiting in front of me at the checkout, who each in turn looked back at me at least once. Two of them looked back at me 2-3 times and actually smiled. Girls that young usually don’t pay much attention to me, so it struck me as being somewhat out of the ordinary.
Now I had a problem. It was an unreasonably cold and gloomy day in Chicago, and I was feeling more like hibernating than going out. But I didn’t want to waste all these pheromones I’d loaded up with already
So what was I to do? Well, how about a little spritz of P106 to the wrist, see if that gets me going?
So I applied:
- 10mcg P106, akuto, to the pulsepoints of the wrist, and then
- 1x Instant Shine to the same spot 5 minutes later, really just to try and cover up the akuto. I really don’t like the smell of akuto.
I warned you that this was getting messy.
Before I knew it I had conjured a Google map and was on my way to the reading with notebook in hand. The reading took place at a smallish cafe that was crammed full of probably 50 people for this event. I found myself a seat right up by the front and ordered an iced tea. Much of the poetry was godawful drivel about someone’s pug dog or grandkids, as you come to expect when you go to these things.
So during the readings that didn’t impress me I involved myself in my notebook, working and re-working lines to a new poem I’ve been working on this week. I was unusually focused while working. I usually get easily distracted by things happening around me, but I actually had the feeling of being able to attend to the room around me while still being completely absorbed in working on the poem. Several times I found myself capable of listening to one poem while writing another. I attribute this effect to the P106. I love that stuff; I really need to get a bottle of it unscented so I can learn and love it properly.
Over the course of the two hours or so that I sat there, I began to notice what may have been some effects of that ICM oil warming up and beginning to diffuse. The older woman seated next to me, who had come to read, became very interested in the fact that I was writing and repeatedly encouraged me to add my name to the reading list.
I definitely felt that I had a certain centrality for all the reasonably attractive women in the room, but I’m really not sure that can be attributed to the pheromones for the following reasons:
- I occupied a central position in the room, and was mostly in line with the microphone
- I was the only reasonably attractive male aged 30-40 in the room
Regardless, I noticed a particularly cute young poet, probably around 21 years old, who was quite nervous to be reading and had some hand tremors from the adrenaline. As she read, she appeared to consciously avoid looking in my direction until she reached a breaking point, when she would look directly into my eyes for a moment, and then appear to lose her place in the poem. It was adorable. As she finished, I decided that I would make one prolonged eye contact with her as she left the mic and then make no further eye contact but observe her in the periphery. She did a triple-take as if to confirm that I was actually looking her in the eye and smiling, and then walked back and sat with her obese and socially awkward boyfriend (brother?). I noticed her watching me several times as I continued intermittently listening and writing.
I ended up finishing my poem while sitting there, and so when the MC called for more readers I raised my hand and told him I had one. I’m just getting back into the poetry scene after not having time for it the last 6 years, but I’ve got about a decade of experience writing and performing poetry, annunciate and inflect well, am pretty good at reading a room, and generally tend to be well-received.
So I can’t say for sure whether it was strictly the magic of my words that caused the gorgeous young barrista to approach me as I was putting on my coat to leave. She had listened for my name and repeated it to confirm that I was the one she had heard, and told me she loved my poem and enjoyed the way I read it. She stared deeply into my eyes. The moment was delicious. Now, she had already given me some big pretty eyes a few times during the night, and had slightly rubbed my shoulder as she sat my iced tea down on the table.
On my way home, I noticed a couple of interesting events:
- A kind of thugged-out dude approached me looking like he was ready to hustle. He asked if I had 50 cents, and I just brushed my jacket pockets with my hands as I told him, “Nope, sorry.” He turned away immediately looking much more apologetic than I had expected him to.
- A late-20s black guy was standing next to where I was sitting on the train, and we both laughed at the same time as a scrawny white hipster in skinny pants trotted off the train at the last minute. We laughed together as though we had known each other well. There was no further contact between us until about 15 minutes later when I got off the train and he said “Alright man, have a good night!” I wished the same back at him; the level of familiarity was pleasant and unusual.
Once I got back home, I wanted to be considerate and wash all my mones off before my wife got home, since I know she is on her period.
A Comforting Mix For My Girl’s Time Of The Month
So the wife was coming home from work late and I’d already gone out and had my fun, so I decided to use what I’ve learned so far to concoct a warm, comforting mix that would make her feel happy to be home with me
All were sprayed to the chest and allowed to dry before I put on a t-shirt. Application was about 20 minutes before she arrived at home.
She wanted to vent for a while about the idiots she works with, as women love to do (YouTube - Sharon Marsh ‘Shake Weight’ at a Beach), and I found myself feeling more tolerant of it than usual. She seemed comfortable and happy talking with me and getting ready for bed. There was a fun playfulness between us that doesn’t always happen at 3am, and we settled into bed both feeling content.
Now here’s an effect I hadn’t really thought of and will have to test more to see whether I can really consider it an effect: I slept like a baby. Really deep and smooth, and with vivid, adventurous dreams. Can pheromones affect the quality of our sleep and dreams?
