Drops concept messes up mixes?

I counted how many drops can u get out of 1ml of AD’s pipettes. Results varies every time from the same pipette… I noticed in Steve’s ICM mix for example How to PROPERLY make ICM (MX301) that he used “drops”, and mentioned people need to sit down and count every drop. But I find that really inaccurate since you never know how many drops you can get from 1ml.

Nbully’s mix calculator seems to be accurate and should be used to make accurate mixes. What do you guys think about this?

Drop size from a pipette changes depending on the amount of pressure applied. Practice making your drops equal by exerting even light squeezes. But yes, the calculator would be the best tool.
