Girl #3, You'll Like this One.....Another Advice Thread by Lakerman.

So, one night I went into this girl’s room. I asked both the roommates if they wanted to go to a party with me (I was wearing the MAGICAL Ammo and IO).

One of them said yes. We went to the party, and danced with each other. We went back and learned that her roommate was sexiling her. The girl ended up staying the night in my room. Needless to say we hooked up, but didn’t have sex. My roommate was sleeping in the bed next to mine, and it felt awkward to both of us.

A couple of nights later, same exact thing happened. I told her my roommate leaves on weekends, and she exclaims, “So we’ll have the room to ourselves? I can finally rock your world!”

THEN the trouble starts. The girl REALLY likes me, talks to all her friends about me, how wonderful I am and how perfect I am and all that. I, too, have some feelings.

Friday comes along. My roommate has left. I go out with the girl, and she’s HAMMERED from pregaming with her girlfriends (to keep this a pheromone topic, I’m wearing Ammo and IO ALL the time).

On the way back to the dorm, I remind her my roommate is gone for the weekend. She tells me she’s way too drunk to function, and I should stop trying to tempt her (she says this FIRMLY).

We take a seat in front of the dorm together, a lot of people are there. 5 minutes later, a girl who’s been trying to ride me all year sits on the other side of me (well, more on my leg). She BEGS me to go to the dance with her, and she’ll make it worth my while afterwards. The girl I kinda like is still sitting on the other side of me. I finally get across to the other girl that I’m not going with her, maybe some other time.

The girl I like goes back to her dorm to sleep. Her friend tells me, “Whatever you want with her, tell me, I’ll make it happen.” I’m honest, tell her I don’t know how far I want the relationship to go right now, but I was a little troubled that we didn’t do anything that night. She got a text from the girl I like a couple of minutes later saying “I don’t want to be with him when I’m drunk, only when I’m sober.” To me, that’s respectful.

Saturday night comes, her night ends early, she’s not feeling well, she goes to bed early.

Now, last year this girl came off a 8 month relationship, her ex was cheating on her. She’s afraid of commitment because she’s afraid of getting hurt again.

I see less and less of her starting that weekend. Never asking me to help her with math, never finding excuses to hang out with me, I get nervous.

Her roommate tells me in her tutor session (I’m her math tutor) that I’m doing a good job, but I should make myself ‘less available.’ I asked her other friend who was trying to hook us up what that meant. She forwarded the text to the girl I like. She gets upset at her roommate for saying anything at all.

When I ask her what it meant, she just said “I feel like you are in my room, and I feel bad cuz I wanna hang out with you but I always have a lot of homework.”

I don’t visit her or even talk to her for 2 days. Then I text her asking her I wanted to talk to her face2face about what’s going on, and where we are.

That talk JUST happened. She told me that it was very unlike a guy to be as nice as me, and she really appreciated that. She told me she was taking a step back b/c she just met me a month ago, and already emotions are involved, and she’s very weary because of her last relationship. She told me that ‘when we hangout, we can see where we are going.’ I told her if there are any emotions, then she shouldn’t try and hide them or be afraid of them. She said that’s exactly what she was going to do, even though she knew it wasn’t right.

I also asked her if I was exclusive or not, because it felt right that I was, and she told me to have fun, hookup w/ other girls and don’t think anything of it. She gave me the green light, and I told her ‘I don’t want you to say that and not mean it.’ She told me if she didn’t want me hooking up w/ anyone else, she’d tell me. Honestly, if I heard she hooked up with another guy, I’d be pissed, so I feel wrong hooking up with another girl at this point. Then again, I’d see it as a DEFINITE green light if she hooks up w/ another guy.

She likes to party at the frat I’m going to be a part of. At this point, I guess it’s a waiting game for when we are at the same party.

I was wearing IH and Ammo during the talk. Body language I read was she was making little eye contact, arms were folded and legs were close to her body (it was outdoors and cold out though).

Lemme hear your 2 cents? I honestly don’t know my next move. I don’t even know if it’s OK to try and chill with her tomorrow, or even talk to her. I don’t know if it’s OK to fuck another girl. Let me know what you think, guys.

I know a lot of you guys are going to say “Your in college. And a frat. Get as much tail as you can.” I like this girl, and she likes me, she’s just afraid of commitment. Keep that in mind.

Thanks for the nomination! HAHA

But no comments yet?

Hmmm… stay away from “talks.” This has killed attraction in my case far too many times than I can count. Let her do all the worrying about where the relationship is at.

Back off, don’t be so eager, give her some space. This part sucks, its hard because you just want to be with her, but yeah you gotta do it.

Things moved too fast…slow it down…there’s a lot of pressure on her now. This doesn’t mean it’s all over, it will be if you can’t just back away a bit.

May I ask how posts get nominated and what is the criteria for them to be nominated???

I think it’s good you let her know how you feel. I would be hesitant to get with anyone else myself, that’s just the way I am. When I have emotions for someone I usually kind of shut out other girls. She has been hurt so she’s expecting you to be like that. My recommendation is to just take your time, and over that time make sure you show her that you’re not like that other guy. Eventually, especially since you already hooked up without fully hooking up twice, she’ll come around and feel comfortable with you again. Definitely give her space and be mindful of what she wants, but don’t forget what you want either, she’s obviously into you and just needs some time to feel okay about that.

People like to nominate things they feel is worthy. There aren’t really a criteria for them.

I agree with TG and empath here.

So you know the whole schpeal about college and being in a frat so I’m going to save that.

The way your emotions are driving you right now with her is ultimately a recipe for disaster for what you’re trying to acheive. You need to do what’s going to make you happy, and if she says that she needs to back off a little because of fears and commitments with school then do so.

The biggest problem I’ve noticed with my friends and I and our interaction with women over the years have been that we try too hard to make it known that we’re having fun with other girls and forgetting about the last one. I know you said that’s not what you want or were looking for, but it’s something that would happen if she essentially hooks up with another guy. Which is a likely possibility due to her situation. She’s trying to find where she stands with guys now, so I would do things as if she wasn’t in the picture, be respectful to her but don’t be up her six either. If you’re always in her room tutoring her friend, then I would suggest that you schedule another location with her. It shows that you’re willing to give her space and give her that breathing room, it won’t happen with you constantly being there, regardless of whether you’re there for her or not, and she will feel like you’re suffocating her. Don’t do that cause once that happens, kiss it goodbye.

Play it cool, and if you feel the urge and temptation to go contact her everyday, hold off on it and give it an hour cool down before you do and think things through.

And no drunk texting either.

If you live by one phrase the rest of your life it should be this one lol.
I still find it incredibly hard. It makes sense whilst sober… but get a few drinks in and it’s not so easy not to text.

Yeah its not good lol

Man the dumb stuff I used to read when I woke up the next morning

exactly… facepalm moments for sure

Yea drunk texting/phone calls are about the stupidest thing you can do. Learned that the hardway, as I am sure alot of you guys have too.

I have great success with drunk texting, mainly because I’m pretty charming and hilarious even when drunk. But if I have very strong feelings for someone or am heartbroken or whatever the high emotional state should be… I should not text. There should be a breathalyzer on phones lol. Gmail actually has a lab you can enable that makes you solve math problems to send an email

Love all the input guys.

I told her yesterday, (before posting or talking) that I have the perfect study spot, I’m always the only one there and it’s always quiet. No distractions ever.

She wants me to show it to her so ‘we can study together.’

This is what I don’t get. She really seems like she’s still putting up an effort to hang out with me, but at the same time, apparently, needs her space. I think she thinks we’ve moved “too fast.”

Like I said before, it would KILL me if I found out she hooked up with another guy, but I’m sure she’s aware that I can get girls, and I won’t have a problem hooking up with 2, 3, or 4 of them if she hooks up with another guy.

I’m hoping I see her at a party this week. That’s all I think I really need to bring her back to my room. I spoke to my roommate, and he said if I bring her back, he’ll put on his headphones and look the other way. I’m going to seal the deal soon. If not, I’ll take your advice and quietly explore what else is available.

reading it again it kind of sounds like she was down to hook up bigtime, then kind of backed off once she realized she had feelings. This would make sense because she wants the physical desire, but is scared of the emotional parts. This will hopefully just take time.

Your exactly right. So just give it some time? She actually just texted me, so she’s still down for talking, at least. I just want to stay out of the friend zone.

If I see her at a party, I’m confident that she’s cake.

Cake just gets you fat and lazy.

You sure that’s what you want?

That Gmail thing is awesome. And I am the same way you are when I am drunk, but if I find the name of someone I hate or like very much, well I’ve sent some weird things haha.

Nahh I’ve never been much of a drunk texter/caller. When I party, I usually take my phone off haha.

I think I’m playing this entire thing perfectly so far. She just needs to fall in my hands one night and I’m set.

I just spoke to one of the frat brothers. I (as a rush) cannot attend another party for another 3 weeks. Uh-oh.

Just asked another girl to go to this party with me. I’m expecting she’ll say yes.

Don’t know if this is a mistake, but the deed is done.

Eeeep! Might be a bad mistake. :frowning:

If I were a girl who has been hurt and was taking my time getting to know the next guy because I want it to be really right (and I have been there before), and I thought he was interested in me and only me, and if I saw him with another girl, he would be history, fast. Especially if the last guy hurt me by being untrue.

And that green light to go be with whoever? I suspect she may have just said that to see if you really would go be with someone else, or if you would stick with your guns and continue to truly pursue her. I have said that before to a guy, to go ahead and see whoever, but secretly I really really hoped he wouldn’t.

Haven’t you learned that about us yet, lol? For example, if we run away all mad or upset, you’re supposed to come after us, we don’t really want to get away from you, but we do need to know that you care about us enough to come after us to comfort us or calm us down. I think that instinctively shows that you are a man who can be counted on, which is one of the most important things women are looking for in a mate.

So if we say, go ahead, fool around and pretend we don’t care, we’re really wanting to see if you’re a true blue guy who will stand by his feelings.

And regarding sex, one of the hugest turn-offs for a girl is when a guy pressures too hard for sex, and if he gets upset or pouty when refused. Having sex, for a woman, is a much bigger thing to her, than it is for a man. For her, she is giving something special and intimate to you, which is why it really has to be right. The fact that she wanted to be sober to have sex with you shows that she really does care because it is obviously important to her for it to be right. If she didn’t really care about you, she wouldn’t have cared that she was drunk.

Its only been about a month, I think you said. Thats nothing, give her time. Many women need to really get to know a guy and feel comfortable with him before she shares her most precious and intimate gifts. If you push too hard for the prize, or pout if you don’t get the prize when you want it, it shows her that you only really care about the prize, and not truly about her. Its like, if a girl dates a guy with money (the money is good because it shows he might be a good provider), but the girl just wants him to buy her things, it shows (or at least sends the signal) that she only cares about his prize (which happens to be money) and not truly about him.
