OK any AFC guys who need to hear it from the babes mouth?
Here is an incredible post that just makes so much sense. Really, I wish I knew this years ago.
While I admit the rest of the post is girly (she is a girl after all) how freaking remarkable is that statement? Good enough I blessed her with my 11 points.
Hmm, I observe guys makin’ moves everyday. I think “shy guys” consist of a relatively small percentage of the male population. Most guys grow out of shyness after the teens years. I don’t know any guys that are shy about making moves on a woman. Maybe some are picky or not interested so some women “think” they’re shy. The problem is trying to get them to knock it off and study. Female members in group projects have often complained about guys making moves on them when all they want to do is focus on completing the project.
With that said, I oft have younger women come on to me and in no uncertain terms. So although there are plenty of “old school” womenfolk out there waiting for Joe Shy to step up, plenty of others are straight up. I say it takes two to tango, so why pour the responsibility on one sex? Simultaneous moves sound good to me.
Not fair? I don’t think fair is a word that applies here.
But yes, two shy people combined definitely complicates things. Women want men who are confident and know what they want. Who don’t make excuses or apologies for pursuing their desires. Who know how to treat them right.
Exactly, Alpha men dont wait for you to make the first move they make it themselves.
I am not saying women should not make the first move, its just that our moves are different from your moves as it should be. Its a dance thats been performed for centuries. We flirt and show interest to a man we like and if he is confident and takes the lead it just re-enforces subconsiously that he would be a good mate. Yes women are more independant now but that dosnt change whats been ingrained in us for centuries.
Had a first meeting with a girl yesterday wearing 1 spray ammo 1.5 and 2 sprays Instant Female Magic on the back of my hair.. well I shaked hands at the start and to take a bit of initiative I kissed her on the cheeks at the end. I think it went well, still waiting for her reply though to see how it went..
So yes, I like to take the initiative these days… usually on a 2nd / 3rd date I’ll give a kiss on the lips then..
Wimmin-Girlz-XX chromosome people are socialized differently than in the days of Yore… they seem more sexual, less conflicted, more outspoken and strangely somehow less erotic too… maybe this comes from being in the workforce on the same level as men, or the professional expectations being less gender driven… OTOH there is so much less free time to have long conversations, grow deep communication patterns… in English lit we’d say that discussions have gone from being connotative to being denotative… care to boink ? ok lets boink. boink. great boink, we should boink again. oh, boink you.
Some women even would prefer to boink than to talk… keeping issues deep inside until they explode later on..
sounds very strange when I think about it…
perhaps not all of them are good communicators then…
no… being good at sex and being good at communication like the difference between knowing how to race cars and how to bake bread… being great at one doesn’t make you great at the other…
Yes, surprising how many women merely wanta boink ya, say thanks and don’t call or respond until the next boink session… boink, boink, nice word that boink!
For the life of me I will never understand how this nonsense about being good communicators got started. Apparently some people easily confuse quantity of yaking for quality of talking.
I made this thread for a couple of reasons. First I loved the post it was well read and left me remembering how many possible missed opportunities I left out there because I just didn’t make the first move.
After responding to the introduction threads for a couple of months now I read it daily: I’m shy and want her to make a move on me. I’m shy and want her to come talk to me. I’m shy and want her to approach me. I’m shy and…
Gegogi it might be different in the school you work at, but all the same I think most PUA trainings focus on approaching more than anything else. Some call it inner game issues, approach anxiety, whatever you may, but the fact is it is a big issue. Don’t believe me; all you have to do is go to the very first intro thread and read to the most current.
This chick says it better than I could and it means so much more coming from her. She likes a guy, even kissed him, but still wants him to have the gumption to make the first move. Have some balls!
It’s not about communication, boinking, or anything other than a girl (your average college student I would gather) would rather have the guy make his move.
How many users on this forum are scared, shy, anxious, embarrassed, whatever to make the first move?
I’m thinking a lot of us use pheromones just for that reason. Not all of us, but definitely some of us.
I have a disinflating approach anxiety.
I’m currently following one of David DeAngelo’s methods: “What could I gain from approaching this woman”
Working on the basis that if you ask your mind a question it will immediately throw up some answers.
Too many people think to themselves when they’re thinking of approaching a woman: “Gee, what could go wrong, what have I got to lose?” and immediately when the question is asked 50 million possibilities are thrown up, enacting our survival mechanism - i.e if we’ve faced rejection before that experience is brought to mind as one of the things that could go wrong - (Same mechanism used when determining whether it’s safe to do something - mind automatically looks for past experiences of similar natures and their outcomes)
So by asking: “What could go right” you will eventually start to look towards all the things you could possibly gain by approaching that hot babe 8 sitting across the bar from you - Sex, sex, sex, social status, high fives from your AFC pals, sex, sex, sex, you get the picture! When you weigh up the odds logically like this again and again and again you’re creating the right mind threads - if you can make it the strongest route then one will be able to see that the gains to be had by success far outweigh the losses to be had by rejection. Of course we’re all going to get rejected from time to time, until we can calibrate our game to such a level as Style or Mystery, it’s just a fact of life… So AFC’s like me should definatly take their advice when they say: “Approach approach approach” Play the game simply to calibrate and enjoy the game, forget about trying to score or number close or any of that - the less you try for that, the less nervous you’ll be and ultimately, the easier it will be for you to score.
