I noticed that JVKohl no longer posts at l-s. Has he taken a hiatus? His posts were the ones I always checked at l-s. I recall there was an argument challenging his scientific beliefs a while back. Can’t believe they actually drove him away??

Yeah! A few L-S forum members like to challenge him and made some non-constructive remarks towards him everytime he explained on the pheromone issues! I guess these people think that they know everything of everything!
Maybe he and MHarris are both locked away in a secret underground lab somewhere brewing up some new Chemical X to hit us with…

Wow what a shame. Maybe a conflict of interest though? One of the people who would regularly dispute JVkohl was a representative from the guys who made Aquagen (which you hear nothing about anymore) for LS
After the Aquagen manufacturer’s beta tests (with putative pheromones which according to him showed much higher VNO response than even A1 or Est) pretty much bombed I think he didn’t dispute JVKohl after that!
I think the row happened because JVKohl is pretty adamant that -none is pretty much useless and also due to his strong stance of VNO playing no part in pheromone influence. Sometimes I wished he showed some flexibility still he was one reason I would regularly log in to check love-scent forum.
Definitely true. Still pretty sad that he stopped posting there though.
His last post was on March, 19th…perhaps he is taking a break or concentrating on his research?

Yea I don’t think JVK has stopped posting at LS. He has had arguments with other members on there before (including some with the well-respected Dr.SmellThis) and kept posting after breaks. I agree JVK is too inflexible on things like Androstenone and the VNO but he does talk about the peer-reviewed available research with discipline and detail unlike a lot of posters who challenge him. Still I have to agree with what MHarris wrote in the early days of the forum (see below) that the official pheromone researchers (like JVK) are too intellectually incestuous…
