Alright let decide now if we should have a chatroom for phero research! THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO ELIMINATE post results on the forum. It is an idea to help users with there mix. Results will still be posted on the forum but the chat room will help experts assisted in helping new users with phero combos and such.

You mentioned wanting expert opinions about pheromones. I didnt dub myself Phero master that was given to me by jasmin after much learning took place. I just think a chat room while it may be helpful for some could be harmful as well. Mones take practice to learn to use and even more to learn to mix correctly. If you dont have a expert in that room it could really screw things up for a new user.
I see it here in the forum all the time, bad advice from people who mean well. At least we can do damage control here before someone misuses something and has a OD or if certain products shouldnt be mixed.

Streetarson, just a bit of friendly advice. Many of us love Tisha dearly. You asked for our opinions in a poll, and we gave them, and when things didn’t seem to be going your way, you blamed Tisha. The statement above was uncalled for.
If Tisha wanted to exercise her rights as a moderator, and considering that your posts are probably still hitting the new users filter, she did not have to approve the post, or could have simply deleted it. Instead she let you have your poll, and gave her vote.
I obviously voted against a chatroom too, for reasons stated in the other thread.
My vote no had nothing to do with Tisha’s vote. I didnt read the post to this thread until after I casted my vote.
I dont really see people as being lemmings on here, so this vote is not Tisha’s opinion, but the opinion of the users you are asking.
Well, I have to admit that I thought the same when I saw the result. The first version of the poll that got lost had not 1 negative vote, but 6 or so positive. Now it’s the exact other way around. That’s in no way Tisha’s ‘fault’, but she IS a person with very high influence on this board and the people that are gathered here… Again, nothing wrong with that and I’m always glad to read one of her posts - especially when she’s got a good point…! She’s right that there won’t be ‘experts’ around all the time and it’s possible that some well meant but incorrect advice will be given without the possibility to correct it like on this forum. Didn’t think about that point. On the other hand it might just be a good place for some chit-chat that might bring us a little step further community-wise… So, I’m still pro chat room…

The little smileys can set the tone for how we interpret posts. I, and am sure Tisha as well, remember a post from not long ago where a longtime member used a mad smiley in a post where he was already compalining, and it set off a brush fire. He said it was all in jest, but the little smiley set the tone for how we read it.
I voted NO. After much thought. I do not want the sanctity of this beautiful forum violated in any way. If anything would compromise what we have now - I say NO! I’m afraid it would compromise the scientific nature of the experiments.
The chatroom could be a place where simple questions could be answered in a short period of time. It wouldn’t hurt to try, I could set up a chatroom in meebo in seconds and anyone using MSN, AIM, ICQ, yahoo, google talk, and jabber could join.
Edit: if anyone has time, sign into their IMing program on meebo and search for the ‘pherotalk’ chatroom. Just testing it.

Sorry darling change the name, you can have a chat room I am all for free speech but it cant be affiliated with Androtics in any way. “Pherotalk” is there copyrighted forum name and people will assume its affiliated with this forum. Therefore they will assume they are legally responsible for the goings on in that chat room. If misinformation is given then it could cause problems for androtics.
