I’m looking for something (no pheromone though ) that could kinda raise my energy level and get my f%&%$ing lazy ass off the damn couch again! I’ll start to go to the gym again tomorrow which hopefully will help a little (and help me getting off the last pounds of unwanted weight - I’m proud to anounce that I’ve lost almost 10 kg (24 lbs I believe) over the last 3 months), but are there other things - like herbs? I thought about trying Tongkat Ali as I heard it doesn’t only push the sex drive, but raises the energy level, too. I’ve already tried Maca, which didn’t do anything (at least nothing that I noticed) and tasted like ass…
As far as the gym goes, I feel like the best thing is having a dedicated partner. He doesn’t let you give up and you don’t let him give up. You push each other further than you could push yourselves.
As far as the rest of the day, I dunno, just telling myself to do it (as obvious as that sounds), seems to work.
I just get really disappointed in myself when I don’t get what I need to get done, done. Eventually I get sick of disappointing myself and get it done.
I reward myself whenever I do something without procrastinating and I feel like that helps.
It’s not herbs, but if Pavlov can make dogs drool at the sound of a bell, I think I can condition myself to act upon a thought.
Yes, there are great things for energy and mood lifting. My favorite are yerba mate and cacao extract (not the one you buy in the stores, the heat makes it loose all the actives). They are both cheap. Don’t know if I’m allowed to post vendor links here?
I’ll send you a pm, so you decide if it’s alright.
Join a local amateur sports team - Something fun and easy (like indoor soccer or Ultimate Frisbee)
It’s kinda similar to the suggestion of getting a good gym buddy - if you are letting someone down by not showing up to the gym/the game it is much harder to be a lazy ass and not get off the couch
Vitamin B12 is excellent for energy… its a debated subject tho because some people say B12 is too fragile and stomach acids destroy it… therefor rendering only the injectible version a viable option. A bunch of friends of mine take oral B12 and swear it works for them… shrugs it’s your choice.
As suggested above… Rhodiola is a good choice… that one works for me.
Lastly… energy drinks with caffeine but no sugars are a good choice for a temporary pick me up. I am selling a drink call XS Energy… 0 carbs - 0 sugars - LOTS of B12 and vitamins… taste great also
I’m going to run a few things by steve before i start posting what I wanna do… i’ll fill everyone in later.
i remember someone mentioning a study pointing out that injecting or just taking B12 doesnt make much difference, but i’m not sure tough, if it works anecdotally for some it may be true
Rippit is a good one, that comes in sugar free with other stuff to keep you from getting energy jitters.
Best way to boost energy is to do quick aerobic workouts. Running, swimming, short distances on a quick turn around time. it will kick your butt, but it will help your body start building stamina for better activity.
The other is to workout first thing in the morning so it boosts your metabolism early in the day, you also burn more calories throughout the day doing this.
yup 100% correct here… it’s always better to workout 1st thing in the morning before you eat. With nothing in your tummy - you have nothing but fat to burn thumbs up If nothing else, like you said, it’ll give you a swift kick in the ass LOL
A bit of androstenone under the nose. You will NOT BE LAZY anymore!
In life, A314 makes you more responsible and productive all around, but not necessarily so much in the exercise sense.
Nutritionally:
Ribose sugar for the muscles Normal B vitamins on a daily basis as a mainstay Co-enzymated B vitamins only when you need to go into Turbo mode A little Yohimbefor a motivational testosterone boost (try low doses, maybe not more than once per day) N-Acetyl Tyrosine on an empty stomach upon waking, to drive your neurology into a mad, workout rage
This stuff works crazy awesome! I can’t even imagine being this excited and following the rules of grammar; I’m just THAT stoked about being all “envitamined”… In my head, I puzzle over why I would ever drink coffee if I have these nutrients so reaily available to me. I learned my crazy awesome vitamin regimen from the same split-testing crazed mastermind/genius who makes all of our products here, and I can’t overemphasize how much it helps me.
You can probably take more Yohimbe than me.
I also start my day with l-phenylalanine instead of tyrosine. I only take N-acetyl tyrosine when I need a huge kick in the brain to move forward.
Phenylalanine is a little happier feeling, because it also converts to PEA (same thing found in chocolate) and other brain chemicals that tyrosine doesn’t.
Tyrosine is amazing, but it makes me too angry to be around kids. Short and snappy, just like androstenone does in the pheromone world. Because it gives you tons of mental energy w/o the emotional soothing, it’s easily superior to phenylalanine for intensely viscous “kill it!!!” exercise.
Working out in the morning is not a requirement, you are still better off doing it later in the day than skipping all together.
Proper inspiration is everything.
find something that inspires you, work for it.
be it a picture of your favorite super model on your bedroom wall with a caption balloon saying get your fat ass out of bed and workout.
Set a goal and find a reward for when you get your goal, a movie, game, tool, toy, shirt, etc…
The key is something not food related. If you want chocolate cake, have a small piece then work off the calories, and stick to it, if you have a chocolate cake, spend another 20 min on the exercise bike, or similar. Most overweight people have been rewarded with food, so you have to retrain yourself to punish for having them.
Next key, rid your house from the junk, if it isn’t there you can’t eat it.
A great idea is to set goals, but make your goals public. Write them down and give them to people. This way there are repercussions for not following what you have said you are going to do.
Oh definately… i hope no one perceived what I said as this. What i meant to say was - it is BETTER to workout in the morning for the calorie burning effect. It most certainly is better to work out later than never
I wish i had the drive to wake up earlier and workout LOL - iw ait till 5pm
