What's the best male parfum?

What’s the most exciting male parfum (exp. Armani code-fharenheit etc.)?

Whatever you like and smells best on you.

You might want to check out the Parfum thread.

Moved to parfum thread

How old are you ?

Now wait a minute. The thread asks for ‘best’ and your post asks for ‘most exciting’. Seperate things. And both of these are loaded questions.

I have Armani Code that I wear for dress. (suit and tie) But my personality and my tastes have been changing the last few moths. Code is getting a little too sweet for me. I’m going to have to find a different dress cologne. The next time I need really formal (tuxedo, etc) it will be Creed Silver Mountain. I would not wear either of these to work. I drive a truck delivering produce to wholesale markets and warehouses.

Since I smoke a pipe and cigars, I’m always looking for things that agree with those aromas. (and of course neroli, akuto, and game) the latest and greatest is Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. I got this from Denec and Mr Feel Good in the ancient vanilla thread Vanilla Essential Oil Extract This stuff is great! I can wear it in truck stops and loading docks. You could wear this to poker night with the guys. All the while, women love this stuff!

I order a tiny decant from this place recommended by Brock, Tom Ford Private Blend Tobacco Vanille - Decanted Fragrances and Perfume Samples - The Perfumed Court

http://theperfumedcourt.com/images/products/decantgrouplabeled.jpg

“One of the 12 scents from the Tom Ford Private Blend, Tobacco Vanille with notes of tobacco leaf, spice notes, tonka bean, tobacco flower, vanilla, cocoa, dry fruit, sweetwood sap – smells like pipe tobacco.” Less than $10 for 1.5ml spray.

Great place. I like how they have everything organized by the note. They have put together sampler sets that I will need to get if I’m going to get serious about developing an olfactory vocabulary. Sample Sets - The Perfumed Court

I went back and reordered Tobacco Vanille this weekend. (I can see that eventually I’m going to have to suck it up and buy the whole bottle. It ain’t cheap.)

While I was there I ordered:

Ajmal Touque EDP
“Ajmal Torque EDP comprises of an uplifting blend of citrus, spice and amber notes plus exotic ingredients including orris, pepper oil, juniperberry, artemisia, sandalwood oil and ambergris. Base notes of Agarwood, Sandalwood, Amber, Ambergris & Musk”

Memoire Liquide Sensuel #318
“Sensuel is incense, smokey black tea and red sandalwood. It is an eau de parfum.”

Bvlgari Au The Vert
“With notes of bergamot, bitter orange, orange blossom, Ceylon cardamom, pepper, coriander, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, green tea, and smoked wood. Bvlgari Au The Vert is refreshing and gorgeous!”

And a couple of tiny vials of some relatively expensive aouds.

So whatever I thought was the very best scent for me last week will probably be totally different by this time next week.

OoohYahhh

Hi

If anyone wants to purchase the entire Tom Ford private collection (15 scents) in 1 ml samples from Nordstrom, I am selling mine for $ 90.

May consider a partial trade or reduction if anyone has any out of the ordinary pheromones. For that you need to be local to me. Thanks

Glad you are enjoying Tobacco Vanille , great scent it is!!!

I do not understand the question what do you mean exciting?

Do you mean best?

One thing I noticed is dry down. Alot of colognes start out great but after an hour or so the scent sucks. So factor that in too.

Talking about great colognes I have been hearing a lot about Musc Ravageur cologne. People are saying that this is one of the sexiest colognes a man can wear. I have ordered a sample to see if these claims have any foundation.

Denec you are the expert on colognes, I would be interested to know what your thoughts are on Musc Ravageur.

I have just got a sample of Musc Ravageur and it is a very sexy scent to wear but I would not say its the best. Its warm and sensual and I like the way the lavender has been lightly blended into the scent. Unlike Creeds Boi Du Portugal where the lavender opening is sharp and really slaps your face on the opening.

The cinnamon and vanilla go together perfectly to bring a fragrance which really is a delight to smell. The thing that has suprised me is how light the scent is as from a lot of reviews on basenotes I was expecting a heavy fragrance. They also talk of a musk fragrance in the base which is there but its not heavy or overwhelming.

I give this a thumbs up as it is a very well blended scent and a delight to the senses.
