Need Help & Advice - QUICK

Okay, there’s the HUGEST, GROSSEST spider in my living room.

I am moving, and packed away all my raid and assorted death to gross spider sprays. What assorted household chemicals will do the job in lieu of?? Right now it’s drowning in Sulfamic acid (scrubbing bubbles) but this is just PISSING IT OFF. It’s not killing it!!

This thing is huge. It guards the gates of hell or something. Or its pregnant. Oh my god, its coming at me!

Help!!

Have any 409, or another similar spray cleaner? Even regular old rubbing alcohol would do the trick if you had it in a sprayer.

SPRAY IT WITH FEBREEZE HURRY! Febreeze solves all my disgusting bug problems.

Im sorry, stupid spider, good luck killing it. They are beasts, I tell ya! :frowning:

Look, i know i’m just a guy and don’t know any of these fancy chemical treatments, but ah… a shoe? a paper towel? SQUISH IT! or trap it under a glass and move it outside. Come on now people, unless the thing has a red hourglass on it, i dont think you need to worry about getting close to it. Pick up the nearest blunt object (phone book, shoe, etc) and get to it!

it moved the cup. and there’s a huge freaking red thing on its huge freaking bulbous body. its not dieing!

Black Widows are certainly not the only spider to be wary of. Ever hear of a Brown Recluse?

okay… it’s dead. sigh

It was big. I did try the cup thing. I’m moving, so i have nothing to kill it with, and no phone book, no real cups, no vaccuum, no Raid, nothing. I dumped my del taco soda and tried to secure it inside the cup. I even sacraficed my chicken burrito to hold it down - OMG, the beast knocked it over. And it was pissed.

As it skittered across my living room, I saw it’s black, shiny, round, huge body with stubby, yet skinny, legs , and a glint of red. I’m not sure if it was a black widow, but it fit the body shape (yet it seemed too big for a BW), and I swear I saw red.

I cannot emphasis enough how HUGE this thing was.

Of course, I am now HIGH as a KITE because I sprayed ALL my cleaning chemicals onto this beast. I"m sure I"m killing brain cells right now… but I have to stand watch and be vigilant… in case it comes back to life… I"ll have to kill it again.

Thanks!

poor mister spider :frowning: meanie

Do you by chance live in Australia? There are freaking ginormous spiders that live there.

But what if you actually hit it ? :open_mouth: It’ll get all over everything ! And gross to clean up too !

And then if you didn’t ? Even worse ! Now it KNOWS. And it’ll scuttle away too, watching you from a dark corner, ingraining your face into it’s memory so it knows who to kill when the lights shut off

Aye, i’ve heard of the brown recluse. But as Jlor lives in Cali, and brown recluses are native to midwest and southeast, i dont think that’s going to be a huge problem for her. I mean, there’s always the chance that it could have been, but it would be highly unlikely. I was one of those boys that was interested in arachnids and bugs, so i knew that much.

exactly!

So what, you think it likes it when you follow it around and spray stinky chemicals in its face? I mean, maybe its the equivalent of getting high for spiders, but i highly doubt it. My guess is right now its laying low, pretending to be dead, just waiting for the chance for revenge… Should have squished it when you had the chance…

… DAMN you.

I just went and checked… It’s still curled up and dead in the puddle where I left it.

In about an hour I’ll work up enough courage to slice it with a bread knife and make sure it’s dead… thanks to you…

ROTFLMAO!!! Holy crap, this is the most funniest thread I’ve ever come across.

HAHAHA! Jesus, my stomach hurts from laughing…but I feel you, honey I hate spiders too ewww…When I see one I usually jump on everyone around me, it’s horrible! I’m 100000X bigger than it…but it’s still gross! ew!

… just wait until Diamond reads this… I’m doomed.

Sorry, just thinking of telling Msselva that there’s a big one behind her, would she dare jump on me do you think?

Now, when daddykins reads this, I’m doomed! lol

btw Jlor, didn’t anyone tell you that scrubbing bubbles are the spider equivalent of copulins, it’s not mad, or dead, it’s now horny :open_mouth:

If squashing it to death is too horrible a thing for you I would try bleech if it is not packed away yet. Works on most bugs.

xx

Figures, she’s moving and has everything she owns packed, EXCEPT the computer…and the Spider!

To bad you had to kill it though, would’ve made a nice house warming gift for the next people. :open_mouth:

:open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth::open_mouth:

Shit! runs to check

phew Yep, it’s still dead. I have a LOVLEY discolored stain on my carpet now from soaking it in various chemicals. I’m not sure it was the chemicals that killed it… I think I drowned it. :o
