Ok, I was bored and extremely intoxicated while doing this. That being said, I’ve noticed the same questions being asked so I decided to put together a FAQ. I feel these are the top 10 most common questions. To find a question easier instead of scrolling down and finding it, search for it. Windows, use ctrl + f and search for “1.8” and it will only lead you to 2 places, the top, here and to the bottom, where the question is without having to scroll down. For macs, use command, that funky squigly line thing and f. This FAQ is a group effort as many forum users have been quoted in this thread, many users have replied to help me improve and clarify on subjects. What are pheromones and how do they work?
Pheromones are endogenous hormones or chemicals that may affect one’s behavior, socially or sexually and also those around him or her. They are secreted from within the body to outside and may trigger responses from others. Androtics and other companies make synthetic versions of natural pheromones that mimic the natural ones.
How they work… Heat from the body causes us to secrete various fluids from our bodies. This is How we keep our bodies from over heating or freezing. In those secretions are our own natural chemical makeup. Pheromones. In a effort to keep our bodys at optimum temp. we will diffuse the secretions off our skin. They enter the air around us and other people will inhale them. They travel up the nasal cavaty and enter the brain where they attact themselves to certain receptors causes people to react in a certain way. Do pheromones WORK?
I suppose this would be the second part to the first question. From my personal experience, I would say they do work. If you’ve read through even the first 2-3 pages of either the men’s or women’s forums, you will see many posts and reactions/results from pheromones. Of course, everyone’s results vary, as each person is unique and different in their biological make up and social interactions.
Here is the bottom line however, as effective as pheromones CAN be, keep in mind that many, many, MANY, wise and experienced pheromone users that are getting those crazy hits or wild results are getting it because even with the pheromones they use, it is still the USER that is creating 90% of the interest. It will be 90% you, 10% pheromones. Pheromones will give you that edge, it will get your foot in the door, but it is up to YOU to get up and take that chance. Imagine the pheromones to be like clothing. Each one may be something different. If you see a guy in a nice Armani suit digging a ditch or cleaning up a sewer main, wouldn’t that be strange? Just like pheromones, you need to step up and act like the aura that you’re giving off. Sitting in the corner by yourself with a frown on your face while wearing lots of shine or whatever you have one won’t get you very far.
If you want to get better at idea of what I mean, I cannot stress how important it is for you to read the following two posts. It is VITAL for you to understand it.

Ah yes, what to buy. I’m just going to list the pros and cons of both and let you decide what to do. I figure in 1.3 I already recommended, begged and told you enough.
Full size bottle:
Pros:
-Will be slightly cheaper in the long run.
-You have a nice shiny blue bottle when you’re done to mix with.
-It will last longer (in the sense that you have more and don’t have to keep ordering).
Cons:
-Fairly large, cannot fit stealthily in your pocket and if you do decide to fit it in your pocket, you can maybe fit 1-2 comfortably in your pants, 3-5… well try putting 1-2 first and you’ll know what I mean.
-Not testing friendly. 200 sprays is a lot and you may find that after 2 sprays you can’t stand it.
ToGo bottles:
Pros:
-Affordable, cost anywhere from 8 to 12 dollars.
-Great way to test out pheromones if you’re a new user.
-Once you’re done with them, you’ll have ToGo bottles left over. If you decide to continue using pheromones, and buy a full size, you can refill your ToGo and take them with you.
-Easy to carry in your pocket, can fit 3-4 comfortably and easy to conceal.
Cons:
-Will run out faster than a full size.
-Slightly more expensive in the long run.

What’s the difference between the oils and sprays?
Well, first off sprays are pheromones in an ethyl alcohol solution. The oil ones are pheromones in an essential oil. So why buy oil? In the long run, they have the best value and are the cheapest. If you live in an unusually hot or humid environment, oils will work better. Why shouldn’t you buy oils? “Not good for first time pheromone users who want more dramatic results. When you’re trying pheromones for the first time, use our spray products instead (unless you live in an unusually hot area.)” Directly from Androtics’ site.
Oils diffuse slow and long. Alcohol based sprays hit hard and dont last as long. -Tisha

I just got my order, how do I use this stuff? Where do I spray?
For sprays, some of the most common spots are the back of your neck, your chest, throat, arms, hair and your stomach. Some people also spray to their face. For oil based products, spots include the back of your neck, behind the ears, around the chin area and under the nose (for self effects and when that lady comes in closer to you, kiss maybe?).
It is highly recommended that you start with ONE product at a time. By using one product at a time, you will be able to: 1. Find out exactly how that product works for you. 2. Find your “sweet spot,” the optimal amount of sprays that works best with your body chemistry.
Start with one spray of a product, the next day use two, the next use three. Tisha recommended a great way to move up in doses and where to spray. Here is what she suggests:
Use one product only for at least a week.
Lets use shine as a example.
Day 1. 1 spray to hair, Gage your self effects and any seen effects for the day.
Day 2. 1 spray to hair, 1 spray to chest. Gage your results
Day 3. 1 spray to hair, 1 to chest and 1 split to wrists. Gage your results
Day 4. 1 spray to hair, 1 to neck ,1 to chest, 1 split to wrists “”“”“”“”“”"
Day 5. Go back to day 1 or 2 and then reapply half way though the day.
Day 6. go back to day 3 and reapply a half dose of it half way though the day.
Day 7. Look back at your week and try to determine what you sweet spot is for dosage.
Then you move onto the next product by it self. After you tested those two then you can begin to make combo’s with them.
This will be different for Androstenone based products. Lower dosage and no reapply needed. -Tisha
Again, these are suggested guidelines (very very very very GOOD guidelines) on how to effectively learn the product. If you’re going to buy a Lambo, shouldn’t you know how to drive manual? Wouldn’t want to stall in front of some hottie now would you? Same with pheromones, get to know them, they are a tool for you to use, the more adept you are at using this tool, THE BETTER THE RESULTS.
Here’s the thing, most of you are going to be tempted to jump right in and spray 2x AMMO, 2x Shine, 2x TUTH, or whatever you order as soon as you get it. You’re excited, it’s fun and WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Yeah, I know exactly how you feel. But say you go out with some combo you just put on. How do you know which one is doing what? Say you spray 2 of everything and go out, get some really good hits, or on the flip side, get ignored completely? Was it the AMMO? Was it the Shine? Again, by testing each one individually and carefully, you will know how much to spray to get the best results for YOU, and you’ll also be familiar with the products that you are using. Avoid the phero baptism if you can.

I just had a great night with these pheromones, but it’s time to sleep, how do I wash this stuff off?
A nice hot shower and soap will generally do the job. If you’re looking to get rid of the smell of the neroli or cologne smell, that may be harder. Just with any other cologne, sometimes you’ll smell a hint of it afterwards. Time and showers will get rid of it. If its pheromones that you’re finding that are “sticking” to you, like –none can, then try using hydrogen peroxide, H2O2. Mark In Dallas had some great advice for removing pheros: “Hydrogen Peroxide will not wash the pheromones away, it will break down the molecular structure. This is in effect the same thing, but just a point of clarification. Witches Hazel will actually draw the pheros out of the pores and wash them away.”

Yes, it’s you, you’re wrong. HAH! I’m kidding. There could be several reasons why you’re not getting the results that you want. What is it that you want? Do you want women to flock to you and throw their bodies at you? If that’s the case, maybe you skipped question 1.2. Pheromones aren’t some crazy mind controlling chemical, if it was, we’d be fighting wars with pheromones. You might also be ODing or layering several pheromones that don’t work well together, thus giving off a confusing pheromone signature. Maybe you’re like me and you can be socially dense at times and not notice that hit or that glance or that smile. Keep in mind that hits can also be very subtle. It can be a smile that normally wouldn’t have happened, people being friendlier to you, or it might be a glance while you weren’t looking. Of course if you’ve taken all the tips and advice from the vets, are observant and you’re not getting any sort of hit, maybe pheromones really aren’t for you. People who are close to you or have known you for a while are use to your natural pheromone signature. The change in signature and smell will be obvious to them. You may stink to them, you may seem different, or there might be something about you that they can’t seem to put their finger on. It’s your change in signature. Over time, say maybe a weekish, they will get use to your new signature.

If you’ve been looking at the store and wandering around, to the left under the advanced section you will see links to the ExperiMone series, Putative Pheromones, and Experimental Test Mixes. ExperiMones and Putatives ARE NON-RETURNABLE. Androtics will exchange the product if it is faulty. the Experimental Test mixes is the section where pre-release products are sold and like the link says, experimental mixes are found. These products are under the 100% guarantee ONLY. 200% guarantee DOES NOT APPLY as these products are EXPERIMENTAL. These 3 categories are meant for users who have already used and thoroughly tested the Instant series. They are also for advanced users and enthusiasts who are willing to test AND REPORT their results. Of course you can still buy them, but if you consistently report on your results you may find that you will be rewarded…
Now, on to what these products are.
The ExperiMone series are generally the main pheromones. They are pheromones that MANY of the Instant series is built around. For example, TAA is the hub of Instant Shine. The reason these are isolated is because some users want to experiment and mix different pheromones to their specific needs. If you’re new to pheromones, stick with the instant series.
Putative Pheromones. Haha how embarrassing, I myself am not too sure what the putatives are exactly. So, to all you vets out there, help me fill this section of my FAQ! <Will leave that there till I feel there’s a consensus that this has been thoroughly covered.

These are exactly what they are. They are experimental. These mixes may be a mix that SteveO or MHarris concocted one day, found it to work great and is out for the public to test before either being released as a full working product, or they will be scrapped. You will also find closeout or discounted items here. But since I’ve been here, I haven’t seen anything on clearance. People buy it too quickly for you to find it. xD

What are these crazy abbreviations?
OD = overdose. This occurs when you spray too much of a certain pheromone. That is your limit. Generally with an overdose you may get a response that you don’t want. For example, Turn up the heat has -none in it. Spraying on 15 sprays on say a 20 year old will probably be an overdose and create a “ghost” effect and will be ignored or avoided even.
SO = significant other
PUA = pick up artist (refer to the very very top of the forum, you will see a link to the mystery method).
DIHL = deer in headlight look
IOI = indicator of interest. Twirling of hair, smiles, glances, etc.
IOD = indicator of disinterest
Ghost, ghosting = occurs when your pheromone signature is extreme to the point that people are confused or intimidated by your signature and either are short and curt with you, ignore you and even avoid you.
Phero Baptism = The term we use when a newer user uses a bunch of pheromones that the he or she may not be completely familiar with and can cause either a fantastic hit or a fantastic mess.

LT = long term. People will say things like “my LT blah blah…” meaning my long term relationship.

Mixing, layering, combo, compositing… what the dunkin’ donuts are you guys talking about?
NOTE I like the information that Tisha responded with about mixing/layering/etc so I will use hers.
Mixing: mixing as used here in the forum is not mixing in a bottle its layering. The term “mixing” can refer to compositing or layering depending on how it’s used. Read below to find out what layering is, and what compositing is.
Layering: For the instant series you layer, You spray one on then you can spray another on over the same place or in another location on your body. You can do it all in a row without waiting.
Now suppose there is one particular product that smells nasty to you. Waiting 10 minutes between applications is really only for the stinkers. It helps to cover the bad smelling ones .
So spray your stinker on first. wait 10 minutes then use your other pheromones or a cologne to cover it. The only benefit of waiting is that it seems to cover the smell better. -Tisha
Combo: Pretty much the same as layering. Some people come up with a combo that involves a few to several sprays of different pheromones. You’ll find your own combo of sprays that works best for you in different situations. People will find different combos of sprays that seem to get a certain response. Will someone else’s combo work for you? It might… and it might not. You won’t know till you try!
Compositing: This is taking various pheromones, mixing them together in another bottle and creating a new solution of various pheromones. It’s not recommended to composite the Instant series as they are already great stand alone products. Generally people will composite the pheromones from the ExperiMone or putative lines.
Little note and great piece of advice:
mixing as used here in the forum is not mixing in a bottle its layering. Compositing is mixing in a bottle. Do not mix anything in a bottle until you have some experience with pheromones. If someone mentions a mix and you are unsure if they composited then ask first, pheromones are expensive and you dont want to waste yours. -Tisha

Ok, so you’ve bought some pheros, where should you store them?
Your pheromones will last longest in a COOL, DARK environment. There are some molecules that will break down faster than others in warm, bright areas.

I’m going on vacation and I want to bring pheros. How do I do it so I’m not a terrorist?
Place them in your luggage and not your carry on. Security is picky with liquids, even if it’s a cologone.
Bring your pheros in full size bottles. Bring a few EMPTY ToGos. The reason I say that is because when you’re traveling, the air pressure decreases and increases. I’ve noticed that the ToGos are more likely to leak or spill, but the full size bottles are very reliable. Travelling with a ToGo with pheromones inside might cause leaking. If you have to travel with pheromones inside a ToGo, you can try and seal it by maybe taping the spray and the bottle. Androtics has been doing this with the labels and it seems to have decreased leaks.

How long does xxxxxx pheromone last?
There are pheromones that have shorter life span that others. TAA is reported to have a fairly short life span of around 2-3 hours. Nols may also have shorter lifespans. Others will last longer. I do not know which ones last longest, as I haven’t been using pheromones long enough to have tested each one yet. Generally though, that is the exception, as most of the pheromones last 4-6 hours.

It’s going to be a long day at work, do I reapply?
If you are going to be out for a long period of time it may be a good idea to reapply. A lot of users tend to reapply pheromones around lunch or in the afternoon. It’s recommended to reapply HALF of your full dose. So around 3.5 – 4 hours after you apply, you may want to reapply. Depends on what you’re applying as oils are slow diffusers and last longer. If you KNOW that a pheromone you’re using does not last as long, then reapply that pheromone. Again, a guideline, but a very good one.

How far away can I be from my target and still have them smell my pheromones?
Depends on the environment, temperature and humidity. In your everyday environment pheromones CAN SOMETIMES elicit a reaction from as far away as “down the hall.” Generally your best bet is around 3-4 feet. Also, it can take some time, at least a few minutes before someone can get whiff and start reacting to the pheros. Every person is different and some people are more sensitive than others to pheromones. One person may be affected by what you’re wearing from a distance and in a very short period of time. Others may not. And, some pheromones can take even longer exposure times (up to 15 minutes or so), before you start to see any reaction.
The most important thing to remember, is that there is not a one-size-fits-all when it comes to pheros, and the science behind pheromones is still in it’s infancy. If you’ve read SteveO’s thread [thread not found] , the VERY first thing he suggests for new users is the SEARCH button! There are 2 ways of listing results: By thread or by posts. If you’re looking for GENERAL broad information I suggest searching by thread. This will give you entire threads that the engine deems relevant. If you’re looking for more specific searches, try the display results by post. This will give you the thread AND the first few sentences of the POSTS so you can see if that post or thread answers your question or search. You can also use the advanced search where it allows you to search more specifically. You can search posts only from a certain forum. If you’re looking for information on copulins for example, you may want to search in the Women’s forum for more relevant threads. Keep in mind though, that there is information on men’s products and women’s products in both forums. So if you perhaps want information or experiences from the lovely females, do a search there. Want experiences from the fellas? Search the men’s forum.
If you’re looking for specific information on pheromones like putatives or MXs read Mad Tater’s journal here: The "MAD TATER" Journal . I won’t lie to you, its long. However, it’s also a great read with lots and LOTS of GOOD DETAILED information that is entertaining to read. Well I think so anyways.
Another good resource are threads and posts by visionary. You will be astounded at the summaries and the detailed information that are in his posts. Find posts and threads by him. If you want to be knowledgeable with the MX and Putatives, read what he posts. He asks good questions, tends to look at things in a different way and does not post useless information.
